Eleven Stirling Engine Projects You Can Build

Useful and interesting book for students of the first cours of chemistry and thermodynamics. It helps to developpe creativity by making models that really works giving at the same the opportunity to understand the theoretical aspects of this celebrated engine. Every model can be built by a small group of abaout 3 or 4 students and then, a short lecture and demonstration can be done as a performance among them, explaining the differences and results.

It's my own fault for shopping late at night. I didn't pay attention to the arrow and read all of the way down. A better title would be 6 sterling engines, 1 remake and 4 kit reviews. You don't get the plans for 11 engines. The book reviews 4 kits which are not cheap to buy. It's my own fault for not reading carefully enough but it's an expensive paperback book. Not sure that it is worth $40. I bought it as a present. It seems well written. Hopefully it will be enjoyed

I purchased this for my husband, he has read through it and believe how easy it seams to be to build one of these. He is excited to try some experimenting and find ways to power our home and other projects he can use it on!

a good read, shows tips and tricks. some a bit more complicated than others, but explanation is there so once you do it, its obviously not that hard. good for learning by doing

Interesting book. Detailed descriptions, but it would be better if it icluded some drawings with dimensions, concerning the LTD engines.

The 4 model builds should have been in their own separate book, I think, but could be very handy to have if you ever ordered one and needed instructions.The real value comes in the rest of the book which contains step by step instructions how to build 7 different pop-can Stirling engine configurations. The pop can piston build is basically identical for most of them, but each chapter has pictures and tells you what to do clearly. Most importantly, it has all the fine detailed measurements that are the crux of getting an engine to work.I got the 'quick and easy' Stirling engine to run on its own volition, after almost 2 months of fumbling around the internet and going the DIY route with no success.This is a great buy and well worth it

I bought this book for my grandson for Christmas and it's going to keep the two of us out of mischief for hours!

el libro está bien detallado y resulta comprensible en montar el motor, pero las medidas se encuentran hechas para los países americanos y resulta casi imposible hacer el motor con materiales europeos, pues se tienen que cambiar todas las medidas.

présentation très claire , très bien expliqué , pour de futures réalisations qui sortent des entiers battus . A recommander ... pour les amateurs de moteurs à air chaud .
