JyotiOrganic Black Beans, 10 Ounce (Pack of 6)

Really like black beans. Jyoty organic beans are very tasty and good for me.

Easy, ready to cook, what else is there to say? They're black beans, if you like black beans, you'll like them. I like that they save me time cooking.

I bought these pouches for convenience on the go. I use them for burritos while backpacking. They’re compact enough and delicious. I simply make my Knorr’s rice, add pouch chicken and these black beans and I have a filling, protein filled meal on the go! The expiration on these are really long— I bought them in spring of 2021 and they expire in March of 2023. Overall, I’d recommend these pouches.

I buy mostly Eden canned beans - kidney, aduki, garbanzo. They’re all great. Hint of seaweed for flavor. Low sodium. Nothing else added. These Jyoti black beans are similar. They are good to keep on hand to simply heat and eat as is or to dress up a bit. I like the tear open pouch. Convenient.

Okay, I wanted to review these beans because this is absolutely my favorite brand. First, it's non-GMO, it also notes that it's gluten-free (which is enormously helpful because I am gluten intolerant and very sensitive). I have seen some reviews commenting that these don't seem as cooked as you would see in a can. That is the case, but I would just recommend cooking them a bit longer than you would your usual brand of black beans. The 10 ounce seems a bit small but ends up working out to be a pretty good dinner to me when I pair it with rice and cheese. Honestly, I love the packaging the most. The fact that it comes in a bag makes it easy to store in the fridge or cabinet. Overall, my favorite brand!

These beans taste AMAZING! II tried the 7 cousins black beans first and whatever seasonings they use was just not for me and so I went on the hunt again and came across these and they don't have any seasoning just the same juice/syrup you get from store bought ones in the can. They taste fresh, well cooked and nice packaging. DEFINITELY will be buying again!

Very disappointed. Pouches are cumbersome, messy, excess packaging. Simply overpriced organic black beans in a messy pouch. Not worth it. Never again.

These beans are really very good! I just wish the bag was recyclable, but as far as I can tell it isn't. :(Update: I've decided to change my rating of this product from a 4 to a 5 due to the fact that I find the 10 oz size very convenient. When I make a favorite side dish of ours "cilantro lime rice & beans" my husband prefers this amount of beans rather than a full 15 oz can. Also, the beans are really tasty.
