Soothing eyedrops feels like nutrition for my eyes
These eye drops are soothing, and I actually look forward to using them. I do not have any scientific details to offer, just a sensation that I can only explain as feeding my eyes something they need. I first tried another brand 2 years ago, but the drops made my eyes sting, so I stopped using them. I do not have cataracts, however, my eyes have been feeling uncomfortable and my vision has been getting more blurry over the past year or so. Part of this is normal aging and part could be related to my MS diagnosis. I also have allergies, and take care to avoid rubbing my eyes, as that makes the itching sensation unbearable. I have found that without consciously trying to do so, I have migrated towards natural eye drops, like these carnosine eye drops and my Optique homeopathic eye drops. Overall, my eyes are doing better as I have made these changes. I know my eyes have been feeling better on a daily basis since I have started using these drops. I am getting ready to purchase them for the third time now. I like to keep them in the refrigerator, as the cool sensation makes my eyes feel even better. I am wondering if I should try them on my senior dog, who does have cataracts, but have not done so yet. For the record, I have not been taking any oral supplements that are known to be helpful to the eyes. My stomach reacts to many healthful supplements, but I am considering adding one every day or so according to my tolerance. My vision definitely needs all the help I can give it, and I am very happy that my experience with these Carnosine Eye Drops has been positive with absolutely no side effects.

They changed the packaging
Addendum to Review: they put it in a different bottle. NO ITS NOT AS GOOD. Pops out of my hand, moves around, NO it’s not good. Please go back to the original bottle and DONT "improve". For the product itself…..My left eye loves this. It has cleared it up and kept it clear now for several years. I wish my other eye felt the same way...way strange that the right eye doesn’t like it. Still, to get more clarity with a cataract is quite amazing. Try it for yours. Takes a few months til Improvement is obvious. I trust this comoany and product...not other similar ones.

Dissolved my dog's cataracts, slowed progression of mine and eliminated "floaters"
I have used various brands of N-aceytl-carnosine drops over the years. They all seem to work but this brand currently has the best price. I first used them on my four year old mini-Schnauzer who was developing a cataract. This was confirmed by my veterinarian. I applied the drops twice a day. I began to see the cataract getting smaller at about 3 months of use. After 6 months I had him examined by two veterinarians. Neither could find evidence of any cataract. Of course, typical of short sighted doctors, they did not seem the least bit interested in the product that caused this miraculous cure. Since I have been told by my optometrist that I have early indication of cataracts, I began using the product on myself. In eight years, there has been no progression of the cataract. Also, it got rid of floaters in my eyes and that of several of my friends. Again, my optometristseems disinterested in exploring these drops.Sigh! The only complaint is that they really sting for the first twenty seconds after application. My dog never reacted to the application of the drops., so I assume his eyes did not sting.

It is very hard to get a good size hole in the nozzle with this device
These seem to work a little if used consistently for a long duration, not a miracle cure. The dispensing bottle is the biggest problem. They have a ring and a cap with a spike to pierce the dropper nozzle. It is very hard to get a good size hole in the nozzle with this device, and almost impossible to get a good seal on closure with it. I have bought store brand eye drops for $1 that have a far better bottle and dispensing system. with this bottle i either end up squirting a stream into my eye due to having to squeeze to hard, or I get huge drops due to the hole being to large. Additionally due to the closure problem, if the bottle falls on its side some drips out, and if left upright overnight you lose some to evaporation. The drops are good, the bottle and nozzle leave a lot to be desired.

is going to be the best solution. Of course
Too soon to tell. However, I have done a lot of research because I am trying to avoid cataract surgery, and truly wanted to know the truth about carnosine eye drops. What I've come to believe is that NAC, working from the inside out, is going to be the best solution. Of course, this is going to take time. How much time I don't know, but I believe a lot will depend on general health and diet; also whether one smokes or not.In any case, after nearly a month of use, no positive results as yet. I may not continue using after my last vial is used up, but I may give Cineraria a try.

I'm very optimistic about using NAC drops.
I suddenly got an eye floater and had been seeing light flashes in the same eye about 3 months ago. I have been seen by my optometrist who said the flashes might go away or at least get less and to report back to him if they intensified. They had gradually been getting less bright and probably less often but within about 4 days of administering these eye drops (one drop twice a day) I have not noticed any more flashes. I have been using the drops now for almost 4 weeks and find that my floater while still there is less noticeable. The OD said it would not go away. I am very optimistic and feel like the NAC should be given a lot of the credit. The bottles for the drops are tiny and cheaply designed. I was at first under-impressed; the plastic seams are rough and you have to carefully pierce the hole in the top. Be sure to read the directions, they are well written and insightful. I had heard that NAC was getting amazing results for old dogs then saw an article about use in people. As we age our bodies get low in this amino acid so I decided it would be worth a try and if it didn't help me any I could give it to someone to try with an old dog. I think I will continue to use it myself. It stings just a little. There should be 20 drops in a ml, so each 5 ml tube could deliver 100 drops.
