Could Not Tell It From A New One
The last time Sprint lost its mind and offered unlimited data and calls for $25/month if you ported a number and brought your own phone (Or bought one for full price from them) I decided it was time to update my three year plus Nexus and switch from the zero cost but really limited data plan from FreedomPop and close out my ancient 2g Motorola flip phone I still used from TMobile.I wanted something good but economical and this was right square in that sweet spot. Phone comes in a generic box and will not include a manual or any fancy accessories but it does come with the maker's battery (in mine) and had no visible evidence of use/abuse/misuse. Could have been brand new for all I could tell.It had a clean serial number and I had no hassles with the phone in getting Sprint to activate it. (Sprint itself cannot find its rear end with both hands, a mirror and a guide dog but that had nothing to do with the phone.)The phone has been used every day now for three months and works like a champ. The battery was and is as good as one can ask for. I rather suspect this might have been one of those 'I changed my mind" returns with minimal use.The phone might not be a star performer compared to current flagship phones but I can buy a round trip ticket from L.A. to London for the price difference between it and an iPhone X or Galaxy Note 9 so who cares? :0Easily removable back gives access to user replaceable battery and SIM card and SD card slots. Wide range of accessories easily available and this phone is locked to Sprint so there should be no hassles in activation when dealing with someone on their phone set-up who has the tech savvy of a radish (and similar English language competence).Note: Find a corporate Sprint store to get activation, the people on the phone system are friendly but absolutely useless and seem to have wandered in off the street and answered a ringing phone at random.Good solid phone at a tremendous cost saving over a new one.Second Note: This model is *only* for Sprint.

So far so good!
I was hesitant to make this purchase because of owning back to back defective V20's back in January of this year that I purchased directly from Sprint. The first one wouldn't charge or hold a charge consistently and the second one started bootlooping two days after I got it. So even though I was overall impressed with the performance, design, and user experience (when they worked) of the V20, it left me very weary of owning another LG phone. When I saw this great offer from Edge Cellular it tempted me to give the V20 one more try. I emailed Edge Cellular with some questions and it was their prompt and thorough (professional) response back that impressed me enough to move forward with purchasing it. I've had the phone almost a week and, so far so good (knock on wood)!Other than some minimal surface scratches on the screen that you can only see at certain angles when the screen is NOT illuminated the phone was almost mint condition. The charger is also not the OEM Quick Charger but it works. It came with a Sprint SIM card as indicated and I had no issues activating it. I registered the phone with LG and according to them I have a 1 year parts and labor warranty through them (LG).Phone performance has been good. I experienced a few freezes the first couple days but that now that I have everything configured the way I want and I'm no longer messing with settings and customizing the freezing seems to have subsided. If you're on the fence like I was I hope my review helps. In my opinion, between the 90 day warranty through Edge Cellular and the apparent 1 year parts and labor warranty from LG it's well worth the risk for this price!

We really enjoy this phone. If you've been hesitant to move up (budget), this is THE value for you.
We've always made the best of yesterday's tech with few complaints. This was a huge step forward and we couldn't be more impressed especially with a removable battery which can allay the constant pressure to upgrade. AND this (refurbished) phone just upgraded to 8.0—not the latest, but... we were limping along with 4.1 and 4.4. This may not impress many, but if you're in our situation, you'll be VERY pleased. I was buying our aged Kyoceras at around $100 refurbished for years with mixed results and tons of limits/management of the devices.GET A SLIM RUBBERISH CASE! IT'S CRAZY SLIPPERY! At least in our hands, it is. It also has a poorly designed rear camera port/window that has reportedly cracked often. Our slim case covers that protrusion completely with a bit of a bumper/buffer space though not much. That case is great:Spigen Rugged Armor LG V20 Case with Resilient Shock Absorptionand Carbon Fiber Design for LG V20 2016 - Black.I am sure other cases would protect at least as well.I wish we could buy another now.1/22/2019 Edit: Bought another! So far no issues too severe. Her phone has a bit of a shorty/crackle when headphones are hard wired which can be a show stopper for some as this phone has a special DAC headphone feature. Otherwise, bluetooth headphones are perfectly adequate if you didn't buy this phone for that feature. My family is rough on ports and I suspect that is how that phone went back for "refurb", just an intuition though, no proof. The other phone (my "new" one) has a bit of a white cast when the back wide-angle camera is used for an image. Perhaps this one had been abused in water??? We have seen her phone literally drink a tiny pool of water (about a dime sized drip/spill) with that Spidgen case in place. They are not compatible with damp at all. We purchased the clear sealed cases for this reason (cheap—so test them before use with a napkin inside—not the phone!) It's my phone and that is no issue for me. I just don't use that wide-angle feature. There are literally 3 other cameras on the phone. It's not a difficult work-around for the price. Lots of folks would return for less. Out of the frying pan into the fire I calls it. Your mileage may vary. I'll be back in following months for an update on durability.
