I’m not a “leave a review” type of gal, but oh boy! I got into a car accident last year, which has left my lower back in pain. Bulged discs, plus an irritated sciatic nerve began to make for a difficult night’s rest.Natural and sustainable materials were very important to me. So I began my search, and the buckwheat pillow came highly recommended. The option to have lavender in there was a bonus!The pillow came about 5 days before its projected time.I was a little nervous to open it because some people experienced bugs in their pillows, or strong chemical smells. The pillow was neatly and succinctly packaged -I’m not a fan of the waste of materials that some packages bring about- and it smelled like an apothecary face mask. I was in love! The bamboo pillow case is very soft, though I covered mine with a satin pillow case to protect my hair. The smell still permeates though the three cases, which I love.The weight of the pillow is great for proprioception. It keeps it form really well while sleeping or lounging on it. I am super satisfied with the amount of filling that the pillow came with. But you can take some out if the firmness is too much.If you’re thinking about buying this pillow, go ahead and do it. It’s worth every penny!

This pillow is fantastic for neck pain. The ability to remove some of the filler is very helpful to get the right thickness

So I bought it because it was made here but I kept it because it is well made. I needed a replacement and decided to give it a try. It came in a wonderful package, had no nasty odors (as too many pillows have) and it is possible to adjust the firmness because it has a zipper. They did state in the information that they overstuff their pillows and I wasn't sure when I got it if I would like that. It is definitely overstuffed and is a bit difficult to get into a case. But I like the firmness now and, as is the nature of buckwheat pillows, can shape it around my head to make it really comfortable. Since it could be emptied a little if it were too much, that makes it even better since most others are sewn up and you would have to fix it afterward. Overall, they though of most everything and this pillow is definitely a good value.

This is my first buckwheat pillow and so far I’m really enjoying it. I’ve noticed better sleep and have woke up with less pain than before.I’m a combo sleeper (back and stomach) and it works out fine for both. Granted it’s a lot more comfortable sleeping on my back but if I happen to turn into my stomach I haven’t had any issues, but I would recommend it for predominantly back sleepers.This is a very different kind of pillow that may not work for everyone. My fiancé laid down on it and was not as thrilled as I was, but the people this does work for, it works for well!

I bought this pillow for my husband, who has chronic neck and shoulder pain. He's tried a lot of different pillows over the years, with varying degrees of relief. This is the first time we've tried a buckwheat pillow, and we've both been amazed at how comfortable it is. His neck/shoulder pain has been so much better since he started using the buckwheat pillow. It takes a few seconds to adjust the pillow into the shape you need, but once you do, it feels great, it's firm, and it holds its shape. I tried it out for myself too, and was surprised at the amount of relief I felt in my shoulders.The buckwheat hulls have a light scent, but it's nothing overwhelming or unpleasant. I think it's similar to black or floral tea. If the scent bothers you, an allergy pillow cover will seal it in.There are a lot of buckwheat pillows on the market, and there's one big reason I chose this one: heat-treated hulls. Other pillows I looked at had negative reviews because of bugs. Since it's a natural product, you would expect there to be insect eggs on the hulls; heat treating kills the eggs before they hatch and become a problem.I'm very happy with this pillow and may order a second one later, for myself.

my friend bought one and you have to take sand OUT of the heavy pillow to adjust softness my instructions were missing I was not happy

I waited 10 days to write this review wishing to give time to a new type of pillow. I normally sleep with a very soft pillow, mentally it just seems better; however, physically I began waking with a stiff and sore neck. So, something needed to change. Reading the reviews I decided to give this a try, and I am certainly glad that I did. ... First impression is the weight of pillow itself, I have never had anything close to this weight prior. It did take a few nights to get the correct amount of filling for my tastes, but now it is pure pleasure and I wake refreshed without the stiff neck that had been pestering me. The lavender sent is an added bonus, not overpowering but simply refreshing and relaxing adding to an excellent nights’ sleep. I would highly recommend this product and very glad I found it.
