The thermostat works for controlling AC and heat from the panel, but can't connect to the app to use wifi controls. It also seems to not keep the schedule, it says it's using the schedule, but the temperature is always wrong. Getting a honeywell for my other unit.

Easy to program. Can access system remotely.

Nice to adjust temp from phone without getting up or from 400 miles away.

It’s hard to connect the WiFi. Once my router reset and interrupted the connection I am not able to use the app or any WiFi compatibility. I reset and forgot the WiFi connection and still fail to connect. That’s is the whole reason why I purchased this.

This Thermostat has a number of issues:1) If you don’t know the specific details about your HVAC system (no. of compressors, heating system details, stages, settings, etc.) you need to hire a professional to configure it, and good luck with that because any reputable installer will tell you not to use this product!2) If your WiFi password contains “*” or “!” it will not authenticate. This detail was left out of the instructions. However, the iOS app says it...IN CHINESE. I don’t read Chinese so it took a while to figure that out.3) It randomly locks up! The touch screen becomes unresponsive, and the only way to get it working is to remove it from its base (remove batteries if used), and replace it, which resets the clock.4) DO NOT connect this device to your home or office WiFi! In order to manage it from a mobile device, it establishes an encrypted connection to a server in China. Put it on your guest WiFi, or a separate WiFi router entirely.5) Bottom-line: It’s obviously cheaply made with inferior components, has no quality control, and potentially exposes your data to foreign persons who likely have no regard for your privacy, and likely exposes your WiFi details to monitoring by a foreign government.

Update my 2018 reviewThe unit frozen while I'm on vacation. Take almost 1 hours for the unit clear out the the power screen frozen. The new apps have a lot of hiccups in control especially with Android set.I am personal used in my house with 2 units upstairs and downstairs. I have no problem at all to installed or setup with the WiFi. Only thing I don't like with the purchases are the company lagged of instructions how to install, take me 25 minutes to figure out on the first unit. The second unit take less than 10 minutes. May be the wired system I have on my ACs and Heaters are compatible. I used these in my seconds months now. And so far I did see some change from my electric bill compared to my old manual thermostat by $18.00 less. I will update if anything go wrong or change. I am not HVAC just a DIY one hand person. new and old pictures of the AC downstairs unit

works great with wifi. beep is a little loud when touching the screen.

It looks pretty, but that’s about it. Seemed to work for a day, even though the WiFi would never set up. I’d turned the system off that night, and the display showed “off”, but the outside condenser unit ran all night long with no blower operating inside. I removed the thermostat and reinstalled my old one and it’s working normally with it.I’ve returned it to Amazon.
