Skeptical, but turned out to be very good.
First time buying a ball mount. Upon unboxing and assembling, I noticed the ball mount wiggles quite a bit in the center channel despite the rubber 'anti-rattle' stopper. This didn't seem right to me given that a non-adjustable ball mount is firm and does not wiggle. I called customer service on instruction sheet to ask if it was defective and they said "there is some 'wiggle' but you would not hear it rattle when pulling a load". I called another high end competitor to ask a similar question and they also said their adjustable mount would have some 'play' also so that you can adjust it easily. I was still skeptical of the quality but did not have time to purchase another mount.I found that if mount elbows down, the mount may hit a ground when going up a driveway. However, It was very easy to pull out, flip and readjust. Pulling the empty trailer was very noisy but sounded like it was just coming from trailer bouncing around every time it I hit a bump. When pulling the loaded trailer, there was no rattling in the center channel (nor anywhere else for the matter).Having used it for a 200 mile trip, I am quite happy with it.

Does its job; read the instructions, though
For the longest time, I couldn't use the bent pin to secure the mount to the receiver hitch. Then, after originally assembling a critical review, I went out to satisfy my curiosity, and - after realizing the pin seemed to be catching on something internally - managed to get it to poke out far enough that the lock would actually attach! So, I have scrubbed that review, and upped it from 3-star to 4-star.BTW, don't use the photos as an installation guide. Despite the what the pictures show, the instructions (single sheet of paper) say the longer locking pin should go in the bottom hole of the "accessory you wish to secure" - i.e. the tow ball in my case.)

Worth it.
Easy to use and seem very heavy duty.

Questioned tech support
Where do I begin? As other reviewers have already noted, the locking heads to have a sloppy fit when installed. That's where the product lost a star. Could I have found a cheaper pin set? Yes. However, you are more or less buying liability insurance when you use Curt pins on a Curt product. If there was ever a failure, there won't be two companies pointing the blame finger at each other. The receiver tube pin does work on 2.5" receiver tubes. That is it's max. Refer to the pictures I posted. As for you people that complain about locking pins freezing up, I've got two words for you... Anti-Seize. A locking pin stays installed on my wifes truck year-round and it un-locks every time, thanks to nickel based anti-seize. A few questions instantly came to mind when I received these pins. So I made a phone call to Curt tech support. The packaging & all pictures show the ball platform pin being used in the upper pin hole, however the instructions say to install it in the lower pin hole. Their first response was "we've never been asked this and are not familiar with instructions you are talking about". So they checked with engineering and ultimately the response is "although it doesn't really matter, we recommend installing the pin in the upper hole as the pictures show". My next question pertains to which ball platforms these pins support. The packaging states it's for the 45901 & 45900. My question is, will it support the 45902 platform? Yes, it will in-fact support the 45902 platform, and that I most likely have new old-stock packaging which was produced prior to the release of the 45902 platform. I sent tech support pictures of the packaging and another question as to wether a channel style ball mount will be available with a 3" shank and will there be locking pins to support that platform. I will update with their responses.**update* as others have stated, the oin for locking the ball platform to the channel is too long. It looks sloppy and leaves way to much room for would be theives to work on it. Lost another star here. Posted another pic.

Works Great with 2 1/2" Hitch
purchased along with a 2 1/2 inch Curt Adjustable Hitch. The pin that locks the hitch to the sleeve needs to be turned just right to fit, but works great.I wish there was a package that also included a Coupler and Latch lock, keyed the same as the hitch locks (Reese has one, but I don't like their quality, prefer Curt) fewer keys are better!

Cheap Insurance
Good investment to protect my adjustable hitch. Very satisfied with quality. Would recommend to anyone who wants to deter thieves from borrowing your hitch permanently.

Thought it was made in the U. S, ...
Thought it was made in the U.S,A., Looked up the company and they produced all there hitches in the U.S.A., American made. Try to buy American products as often as I can, my fault on this purchase should have called to verify if this product was American or imported. ( India )

Fits Trimax HD
It fits my Trimax TRZ6ALHD 2.5" adjustable hitch. The locking mechanism does not appear very strong but, it should discourage most thieves.

Seems like a great product. Time will tell on durability
Both lock nicely, hope the locks do not seize over the salty winters here in Toronto. Will keep them lubricated to help combat the elements. The rubber caps could be thicker and of better quality. Hope they last awhile.

They do their job
These obviously work well to keep thieves from stealing your expensive hitch. I greased them up pretty good but they still corroded in the winter climate.

Kit don't work with the hitch I bought that it says it will
The angel pin is not long enough to hold the big curt hitch into the receiver on my truck could of used 2 long straight pins betterThe big adjustable hitch for curt hitch with a 2 1/2 receiver stub kit they say will work didn't work for me . So try it your self tho
