Westcott  13821-030 8" Kleencut Straight Shears Blue/Purple

I purchased my first set of these when I was traveling for light office duty work. Surprisingly, these scissors cut cloth as well as a $40 stainless steel set of scissors. Huge bang for the buck!

Looked these up because I found them around my house while starting to learn to sew felt food for my kids. They are amazing at cutting felt/ fabric. I can’t wait to see how they compare to my fabric scissors that are on the way from Amazon.

I ordered a second pair of these because the ones I bought 15 years ago keep getting miss placed. These are the best for cutting matted pet fur. They cut clean against delicate pet skin and don't pull or fail to cut the fur as many other scissors I've tried. If you have a job where you will be cutting with the scissor tip or even deep into the blade this scissor will not disappoint! Love them!

These scissors have a fatal flaw. I used them just today to cut an amazon gift card and before I could get to the end, the scissors snapped. I thought nothing of it until I realized that if it was made correctly, the handle should never break completely off, because the metal would extend completely into the handles and provide the necessary leverage.Exactly like a knife whose blade's tang does not extend fully into the handle, these scissors are DESIGNED to fail over time. Trust me in never buying something that puts extreme pressure on a piece of plastic as its everyday action--much less something that puts pressure on the plastic with the misshapen piece of metal that should have gone the whole way through the handle!Yes, there's a 10 year warranty. No, your time is not worth the effort it would take to mail in the warranty request form only for them to probably tell you six months later that "normal wear and tear is not covered by the warranty." A warranty on a pair of scissors is RIDICULOUS, and they're betting on people not to use it.If we don't refuse to buy from poor manufacturers, we will always be inundated with poor quality products. TAKE A STAND and DO NOT BUY FROM WESTCOTT!!
