Gold N Hot Professional Pressing Comb Stove Iron, Gold, 1 Count (GH2343)

I am the oldest daughter of 4 my mother raised us up using these to straighten out our hair, which by the way was better then getting a perm, which also by the way lasted longer then a perm and minus the chemical, the stove heat was the best and still is. I thought they quit making these i just thought to myself one day to go look on amazon, and believe it or not i was not shocked when i seen that it was an item that they had, and of course i order me a pair, and i know i will always have it, if you are an African American and you are trying to get away from the chemicals to your hair but want to still be able to keep your hair manageable this is the item to get just be careful in using it because stove heat is the hottest and you can get a bad burn or burn out your hair if you don't know how to use one my advise is to ask grandma about it and she will be your guide.

Accidentally bought this thinking it was a plug in hot comb, but i LOVE this. it gets the top of my curly wig extremely straight. handle is very sturdy. Works amazingly

The comb straightened hair. However, it did not last long, the handle became loose.

I love it, it hAs a great weight to it , heat protection at the top of the handle to protect the handle from burning when it is on the burner. I absolutely love it!

Just like the old days this comb has saved me from using chemicals! Works perfectly!

I used the comb to straighten my hair after washing and drying it. I heated the comb on my kitchen stove. The odor came immediately. There was an indication in the description that there would have an odor when first heated but it couldn't begin to describe how extensive and long lasting it would be. The comb was purchased over a month ago and the odor is still in the almost every room, the curtains, carpet, bedding etc. still smell even after opening all the windows and putting on all the ceiling fans for hours. The odor is pungent and I don't know how long it'll take to go away. All I can think of doing is having the carpet and drapes cleaned and rewashing the bedding with vinegar along with wiping the mattress covering with a soap-vinegar solution. The comb would be ok if it weren't for the smell.

Doesn’t even last long. Only got a handful of use and the thing broke apart in my hair. BURNT MYSELF

Description fails to mention that this is just a comb by itself. It does not do anything on its own. You have to use it with the “Ceramic Heater Stove” to heat it up, which is a separately sold item that costs $50-$100, or you have to put it on your actual stove top. Which no one does anymore - as it’s not very safe - other sellers have this comb and it comes with a cable attached so you can easily plug it into your wall and the comb heats up that way. Which is a safer and easier alternative.I would only recommend this to someone if they’re OK with doing the oldschool method of placing it on top of their stove. It would be much easier (and safer) however, to just buy one that comes with a cable that you can plug into your wall. I was able to find one at Walmart, I will not be using this one.

I'm disappointed about it because is not electric how I'm doing to used it.😔😔😔
