Cat vs New furniture
My cat like many likes to dig her claws into furniture even when she has scratching post ect. She is a stubborn one when it comes to everything. So after years of just keeping old furniture I decided to upgrade. I wasn’t about to have her waste my money by tearing up my new purchases. So I decided to try these. I was surprised at how easy they were to apply. My husband had recently trimmed my cats nails we just had to glue and apply. I had my husband hold her while I glued them. It says it takes like five minutes to dry which is really reasonable. When we finished glueing them she instantly tried biting them to pull them off. This lasted for several days. It’s been about a week and she only managed to remove one which we already replaced. So the adhesive is a good quality. Now she isn’t biting them and trying to pull them off. Best part is the furniture has not one scratch on it. These would also be good in preventing a cat from scratching kids. When our cat lays and starts kneading us we no longer get scratched like we occasionally do which is a big bonus.

Loved these!!!
These are awesome! My cat started scratching at the wall and I ordered these to try and they work amazing! They're still on after 2 months! Well, one fell off - but that's the one my husband did lol - all the ones I put on are still in there after 2 months! I would definitely recommend these! And I'll be buying more when these ones are used up! Definitely deserving of a 5 star review!

Cover cats nails
They work great to cover your cats nails and keep them from scratching but tend to fall off in about a week. Very difficult to figure out the correct size to buy.

I can't believe I need these.
So, I have this kitten, whom my more-difficult-half refuses to allow outside, and she's shredding my rugs and carpets and drapes. I don't know how she does it, but every morning there is a piece missing from a rug or there is a hole in the berber on the stairs, or I find tufts of rug fiber in random spots around the house. Also, she chases feet and jumps at your legs and climbs the damn drapes and she's a bit of a terror, if I'm being honest. But I love her almost as much as I love my husband so I am trying all kinds of things to solve this problem. She is not a fan of scratching posts (carpet or sisal) or those cardboard scratching things or any other surface I put in front of her. Only flooring and drapes and human skin will do. We have tried keeping her nails trimmed (something else she dislikes) and that helped only a tiny bit. Then I found these crazy little nail caps. They. Look. Ridiculous. And they work, once you get them on which is about as easy as you might think gluing plastic caps to a kittens' nails might be. Actually the first time was pretty easy. She held mostly still and I only glued two of the caps to my gloves (you must wear close fitting gloves to hold the tips, insert the glue and apply them quickly without the glove getting in your way). Now that she knows how hard they are to remove, she puts up a bit of a fight about it. The really tricky thing is making sure that once you've put the gluey nail cap on, hold it until the glue sets. Because if the cap pops off or is glued to your glove and pulls off when you pull away from the kitty, kitty's fur sticks to her nail and then there is no way to get a fresh cap on over the gluey, hairy nail without hurting kitty. It's been almost three weeks since we applied the first 8 caps and 6 of them are still in place. I replaced one but the other removed tip didn't work: that's how I learned about the hairy, gluey nail thing. If I can get kitty to cooperate, I will continue replacing them as they fall off because it really does help. She hasn't damaged any rug or curtain since the caps went on.Oh, one con: kitty can not beat back our dog the way she used to. She really has only her teeth and back feet to defend herself with, so these really shouldn't be used on a cat who needs to climb fences or trees to escape or who needs to defend herself.

Don’t hesitate!!! I wish I would have tried these sooner!
I don’t normally write reviews but I will for these. I’m impressed! Kitten nails are no joke and our skin and leather furniture didn’t stand a chance. I pretty much wrote off about $3k of furniture as we wont declaw and our kitty is here to stay. After a few months I finally broke down and got these kitty caps. I decided to put them on myself instead of pay the vet to do it. The first time I just swaddled her in a blanket and brought one paw out at a time. Worst part was the nail clipping but we both survived. I went a little stingy on the glue to be sure I didn’t hurt her. When all was done and I let her down she didn’t even look at them. Not once. She has never tried to bite them or chew them. She has lost 3 over a 3 week period and I believe it’s more due to how light I went on the glue. It was easy to apply a new cap, didn’t even need to swaddle. Plus it’s adorable to see her little manicured paws. I can’t imagine a time that she won’t wear these. Total lifesaver! We can play rough with her like she wants without ending up with cut up arms and I won’t have to replace my furniture! Great product!

Not safe
These are such a great idea, I was excited to try them. But after tonight I won’t be using them any more. I noticed after these caps were on for a few days, a piece of carpet from the scratching post was stuck twisted around one of my cat’s nails. I couldn’t get it off, and eventually the cat got it off. Tonight, cat woke me up meowing and when I finally realized that he wasn’t moving, I found him stuck to the scratching post! One of these caps had gotten twisted in the carpet of the post when he was scratching! I’m fortunate that he’s a good kitty and he patiently let me struggle to free him without scratching and biting. I won’t be using these any more, I just wish there was an easy way to remove the remaining caps so he doesn’t get stuck again.

Don’t de claw your cat
This may not be easy for all cat owners to apply, but since my cat is calm and trusting it was easy for me. The glue is like nail glue, fast drying so act quickly. Trim your cats claws and then glue claw cover on, if done correctly there shouldn’t be any discomfort or damage. This isn’t in humane, and I think it’s very effective on keeping your cat from scratching things up. This is my first Amazon review, when I run out I’ll buy more. Yes some pop off here and there, just re apply, most last a long time.
