I have been making stained glass for over 30 years. I should have bought this 30 years ago. It does a wonderful job of grinding off nibs and off line cuts without damaging the edge of the glass.I was not happy with the way that some of the parts that came with it were just loose in the bottom of the box. That reflects poorly on the company, however, not the product.I also HATE the way you have to use anti-sieze compound on the bits. I understand why it's needed, and I did it, but that stuff is NASTY, and gets all over every thing. If you buy this product, when you put the anti-sieze compound on, wear your painting clothes. It truly is horrible stuff. The plus side of it is they ship a full tube of anti-sieze, so if you work on your own cars, you've pretty well got a life time supply of it.The cork that they ship with it is TOO SMALL to seal the drain. Whoever is responsible for that needs to be reprimanded. You can buy a suitable replacement at Home Depot or whatever your favorite hardware store is (look for either a 1/2" or 9/16" black rubber stopper - take the old one with you to size it). While the issues above are somewhat annoying (and the stopper issue is frankly unacceptable), the product itself works great, or I wouldn't have given it 5 stars. I would probably suggest getting the 3/4" bit as an accessory for grinding tighter curves.Again - wish I had bought it 30 years ago.

Electrical problems...No juice no grind.
Worked fine for the first three jobs. (Medium amount of grinding for 8x10 products.) It quait working last night. Performed expected checks from wall power, through power strip and metering the fuse. No problems could be found outside of the unit. Spindle turned freely by hand. No water had ever been found around the lower unit that would have indicated that water had gotten into the electronics. HOWEVER....did have trouble getting the fuse cap open. The entire fuse holder wanted to turn in its mounting. Was able to grip the exterior of the fuse holder and then managed to unscrew the cap and remeoved the fuse and use a meter to check it. After re-installing the fuse and plugging in the grinder I turned the power switch on and proceded to gentley twist and turn the fuse holder resulting in the grinder starting to run once again. Not happy with the long term prospects of having to do the "manufacture waltz." It works great and I would like to keep it. However, I am now unsure of how to do work scheduling for fear of beign left high, dry when in need of a good night out grinding!

Did not use myself, worked well for gift receiver
This was a gift from a few years back however the recipient has used the grinder a few times and says it works wonderfully. She said definitely messy but she was able to get what she wanted to do done on this machine. I do not know the nitty gritty details but wanted to post a review anyway, based on her experience.

Nice
Works well and has plenty of torque. Just hope that it is durable. Only complaint was the white cover was very hard to remove initially - had to carefully pry at the corners until it popped loose. Reamed out the holes so that the cover can be removed without a lot of effort.

Good grinder
I like this grinder but to use the smaller bit you need the extra little extension second story work surface which doesn't come with it. You can still use it without this extension but would be easier to keep the piece level with one. They run about $20.

The first grinder developed a bearing noise within a couple weeks of use. I called Amazon and they sent me another. This one is working as expected. Although it is not a powerful grinder, it suits my hobby needs.

The grinder did its job when finishing my stained glass project.I would recommend any purchaser consider a cookie sheet to put the grinder on to collect water and find a shield to enclose back and sides to collect grinder water spray

durable
I will use this in my classroom. I have 10 other grinders and this one has some nice new features compared to the older model.
