Magnificent Warriors [DVD]

I bought this since I enjoy 90s action films. I wish Amazon would unlock more but I believe they're region locked.

Like all of the 20th Century Fox DVD's in this set, this movie has excellent digitally restored video and sound. As good as the Dragon Dynasty's restored DVD's. Great movie and a lot of fun to watch. Michelle Yeoh is terrific as usual. This is a keeper for me, because it has Michelle Yeoh flying an old classic yellow British Tiger Moth Biplane as her preferred mode of transportation throughout the movie. They used a REAL airplane in the movie. It's in perfect shape, and it's such a joy to see and hear it flies in the air. Such graceful ladies, both the Tiger Moth and Michelle Yeoh! There is even a dogfight scene with a Japanese WWII fighter that is a little bit reminiscent of the Top Gun school where Maverick duked it out with Viper!Thanks to 20th Century Fox for a great job in restoring this classic, I love it!

The usual beat a bunch of warriors by yourself schtick but fun to watch.

Wow in this film Michelle Yeoh shows that she is an amazing martial artist!! The movie itself was just so-so though. It's about how her character is trying to rescue a city leader (in Mongolia I think) from the Japanese. It didn't really feel like an adventure, as one might assume from her Indiana Jones-esque character. Plot was passable - not nearly as gripping as I would have liked, and the pacing left me bored at times. So despite Michelle Yeoh's awesome fighting and charismatic acting, this movie was just OK.

A good action movie for doing exercises on the treadmill or elliptical—a no brainer. I always enjoy Michelle Yeoh movies, unfortunately the earlier ones from Hong Kong were cheaply put together with poor writing and direction.

More plot and character time than it has business having, with a better script, and better acting.A solid turn in the martial arts genre, focused on practical displays of mastery, rather than superimposed checkmark stunt scenes that border on superpowers.

Michelle Yeoh is totally awesome & for fans of her movies you have to say she is QUEEN of the action movies,from her previous old action flicks, to her latest uptodates as she excells in the movie screen icon number one action warrior of decades & she's still the legendary number one action hero of the day. Watch her in this film & you will never want to put the remote controll down. She's just like the title....MAGNIFICENT!!!

Indiana Jane instead of Indiana Jones? Count me in!You know, Michelle Yeoh and the filmmakers made me believe that it's possible to single-handedly beat an army. And not through shaky cam or dubious editing but through world-class stunts, parkour, and fighting.And that, my friends, is why you should watch this movie.

I would have given this five stars if;1. The dvd was firmly in place prior to posting because when i received it, it had moved around everywhere which had resulted in some minor scratches although when I played it, it was fine.2. The dvd sleeve was in immacculate condition.I know it sounds like I'm being a bit picky but I'm a collector and these little things matter to me!
