Q: I have an older car with a flat matte finish thats got some rust. I dont expect to correct the rust,but will it shine at least on a surface like that?

The claims that NuFinish makes are true. I have been using NuFinish for at least fifteen years. I have tried Mothers, and others. They are good, but not as good as NuFinish. By flat matte finish do you mean that the paint has oxidized or that the paint was originally applied as flat matte? If oxidized, then nu finish will clean it up and shine. However.... I would suggest a good washing with detergent, and then use a clay to remove old embedded dirt particles. The clay comes with a spray to lubricate and clean he finish. You will see the clay absorbing the dirt from the paint by the discoloration of the clay. I have been restoring old cars as aa hobby for over 45 years. Ron Millman, CPA, Glendale, CA

Q: can I apply a wax over this finish?

You should not need to wax over top of NuFinish. It has great polishing properties.

Q: Can I use a buffer wheel to remove the polish once it’s dry?

Yes. Just be sureto use a clean wheel.
