It is so easy to give credit to everyone and everything except God. But Bryan stands boldly where many would not. He gives all glory to God for his accomplishments--that is inspiring, truly. As I read, I heard his voice so clearly as a regular guy trying to do something so much greater. This book is captivating and uplifting. I'm in awe of the courage Bryan exhibits in telling his story. And, what timing! I feel like more than an observer or fan as I gear up to watch the trials and Olympics--I feel like part of his ohana.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I tend to read books while multitasking doing other things, but this was one that I kept reading after lunch was over. It was difficult to put down. I loved hearing the story of how Bryan turned to God and how his faith was so interconnected with his sport, as well as when he heard God speak to him. Great book!

I loved this book. It was so challenging and yet encouraging to be more disciplined to meet goals. He had his victories and disappointments which were so encouraging. I enjoyed this book immensely.

Great insight in the training of a decathlon athlete. Explains the amazing details of how the decathlon competition operates. Bryan's journey for the gold medal is inspiring. Bryan shares his life lessons with the reader and proves that we are not all world class athletes but we all can become champions in life.

A great read from start to finish. You never know how life changing events will affect a young kid. This book shows how faith and a path in the right direction can lead to great things.

Inspiring story that is well written. It is great for adults and teens to read. I loved the descriptions of the decathalon events.

Overall a great read for people interested in the decathalon or in Mr Clay himself. Lots of information on his meets and state of mind during competition.

This book should come with a health warning, because after the hundredth mention of how wonderful god is...I was violently sick!

This story is one of hope. I'm glad Bryan Clay decided to share his trials with us. We get to see him grow on all levels and he gives us insight into the life of a decathlon athlete and takes us with him on his journey to becoming an olympic champion. I was not disappointed with this read. I wish him all the best.
