Perfect for running 2 mics with identical gain levels
This is a handy device for running 2 mics into one XLR input and ensuring both mics are at the same gain level. It makes audio setup a thousand times easier. Build quality is metal and super robust. This is a solid box and if you run a multi person audio setup this will be more than worth the money!

Very useful for live performance and recording
Bone simple way to maximize the utility of a small mixer. Works exactly like it says, two mics into one XLR input on your mixer. Very handy for garage bands with small mixers or a home recording studio. Our use is to combine mics for back up vocals. In our case these two mics are not used at the same time, so for the soundman, it's completely transparent, so long as he remembers which strip is doubled. It would also be handy for mic-ing a drum kit where balancing each overhead mic is not as critical as maximizing the available mixer inputs.

Works exactly as I needed. Very compact and requires NO POWER, which is awesome! I was able to tuck it in the back of my 4U road rack housing the wireless mic receivers, CD player, power conditioner, and wireless DMX transmitter. Converted CD player XLR stereo left and right outputs to one mono XLR out. Freed up an input channel on the maxed out small mixer I use (all inputs were used). Enabled an additional device (Laptop running Virtual DJ) to be connected to the mixer and used during set changes on stage without purchasing a larger/additional mixer.

Need an extra XLR plug? Boom. Done.
I use this with two Large Diaphragm condenser mics for overheads on a drum set. I run it into an M-Audio Fast track Pro. The ability to use phantom power is great. It can take the supply source and split it and power two phantom powered mics. Though i think it may have a little bit of a volume drop when using like this, i just turn it up a little higher and it seems to work well. For 30 bucks, its an extra XLR plug. Considering the next step up was the M Audio Ultra, which is about a $300 jump, for me this is well worth it.

Life saver
Not a mixer but if you have fairly balanced mics it is a cheap blender/ splitterI am using it with a par of Shure KSM 137 to mic a piano... love it

Cool product, loss of decibels
I like the product because it does what it's supposed to do. I don't like the fact that there's 10db loss in the mic signal. I actually expected the loss in decibels, so it's cool. All you have to do is adjust the gain on your mixer.

Top Notch
Perfect! Two mics in, one XLR cable out, through a TC Helicon VoiceTone Single R1 Vocal Tuned Reverb pedal, into one channel on the mixer. Now I can put two vocalists through the awesome reverb pedal instead of one of them having to use the rather limited reverb on the PA. I can't detect any drop in quality using this combiner. Simple and does what it advertises.
