So, first off, I'm furious at Coastal. I think they do things like this on purpose. I had these glasses favorited on Coastal.com for over two months, waiting to have the necessary cash to purchase them. With a prescription like mine, glasses do not come cheap. The last pair I purchased from a Lens Crafters cost over $400. I don't have that kind of money to spend. I only had one pair of glasses and needed another pair that were more....sophisticated for work. Also, I'm getting older. I don't always want huge Ray-Ban hipster glasses. I LOVED these from the minute I saw them. I loved the color, and the frame style. They are not overpowering and they look quite stylish and cute. Not to mention sophisticated.I would have gladly purchased these with my prescription from Coastal.com, however, the glasses were in my cart and ready to purchase ( I was actually checking out and puttting in my credit card information) when all of a sudden I received an error message saying that the frames I wanted were no longer available and that they had substituted a different frame for me. Thank god I saw that, otherwise I would have ended up with the wrong frames and been FURIOUS. Right when it's in your cart!Luckily, amazon.com had these frames available, but without the prescription lenses I needed. This wouldn't be a problem, I have other ways to get prescription lenses. I received these lenses from Coastal.com, in the Coastal blue box. The receipt is not an amazon one, it's a Coastal.com one. I don't understand why I just couldn't have my prescription put in by Coastal.com if they are the ones selling the frames in the first place, rather than forcing me to go through a second vendor and having to send the frames out to have prescription lenses put in them. I would have GLADLY paid the extra cash to have Coastal put in my own prescription lenses. It doubles the time that I have to go without glasses (even though it's for cosmetic reasons) and just leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. Is my prescription too strong? Does Coastal.com just not want to work with me? Are they reluctant to work with people who have strong prescriptions? In the real life world, for affordable frames, paying $400+ is not an option. Online shopping for frames, in many cases, is the only thing left for us.The glasses arrived in lightning speed time. They were delivered in two days, which is impressive. They were also exactly as described. The color is true. It is a blush pink/brown color, and really is lovely and flattering to my skin. The shape of the frames are also extremely flattering, with the slight cat-eye. I feel more delicate and feminine with them on.Coastal.com gets ZERO stars in this review. All the good reviews are for Amazon.com, for offering me the product I wanted when Coastal did not. Thanks amazon, for the beautiful and sophisticated glasses that I have been dreaming of (and needing) for years.
