Stinger Replacement Bulb For UV15, FP15, TZ15 Bug Killers

While I am sure the bulb is OK, I only rated 3 stars because the seller failed to list dimensions of the bulb itself. I searched for a B8080 bulb and this popped up as a direct replacement. I have an old style STINGER bug zapper and it has two bulbs each 15 inches long but these bulbs are only 7 inches long. Half as long and half as wide. Yes the 4 pins will plug in, I am sure it will light up but how will it hang in the STINGER without falling out? TO THE SELLER: This is very basic information, why is it not listed on your description of the product? If you have a big STINGER or FLOWTRON bug zapper, this is NOT the bulb you need. Now I have to go to the UPS store and send this back, at least Amazon makes that easy, but I am still not happy with the seller

This is true black light, not a visible white-light fluorescent U-bulb like what came with the original Stinger device I purchased. It really attracts the bugs at night. The price was right, and with Prime shipping, it saved the hassle of my going into a big box store where it is about a dollar cheaper. The only problem is that the pins were slightly bent (they leaned into each other, instead of being parallel) and I had to carefully bend them with pliers while being careful to not break them or the bulb. After that, I installed it and it works fine.

I got this to replace a burnt out one either the bulb is bad or the unit is..this wa a last resort to getting a new one no harm no problem

Works great. I like it better than the original one. It is about 7.5 inches long including the white base. It just fits in the Stinger zapper. It definitely draws bugs much better. It is uV and a dark violet glow - so maybe not so good if you were using it also as a back porch light. I like it because it is darker - I don't need the white light. The bugs see the uV like a hot glowing flare from very far away.

I have a different brand bug zapper that came with a white UV bulb. I leave it on 24/7 and, at night, our porch was bathed in violet light. It was a little annoying, but bugs were worse. I found out about these black UV bulbs and tried one. It worked in my bug zapper and it's dark on my patio at night now. I'll never use the white UV again.

i had bought an old (i.e., efficient at killing bugs) bug zapper at a yard sale...it required this style of bulb. i bought  Stinger B1515-4 15 Watt Bug Killer Replacement Bulb, White  as well as *this* bulb. used the  Stinger B1515-4 15 Watt Bug Killer Replacement Bulb, White , and when it died, replaced it with this bulb.i cannot say for certain that this bulb is more effective (i live near water, so bugs are an omnipresent issue), but it isn't as big an eyesore as the "white" light bulb was.if you have to have this style of bulb, i would recommend this over the "white" light version.

The original bulb didn't last long, we'll see how long this one lasts, however I'm giving it all 5 stars because it was just what we needed to replace the original dud. Popped right in.

Our white bulb that came with the Stinger unit broke when removing it for cleaning. This bulb is working and is nice that it doesn't look "on"/bright in daytime.
