yes as betta fry are large after they use up there yoke sack this will work perfect but as bettas are meat eaters you also should use baby brine shrimp you can buy the hatchers on amazon for under $20 bucks with eggs

Yes, you can feed it to your fry as soon as they're free-swimming and/or able to start eating.

No. But putting it in fridge wouldn’t hurt ! Prob would make food last longer

Q: how do you remove the excess that float and never sinks ?

Use a cup and a turkey baster and put the powder in the bottom of the cup and squirt water from your tank into it to get it well mixed. Then it wont float and you wont waste so much floating at the top. I usually use the turkey baster to suck up the excess food from the tank bottom when it builds up to make sure I dont suck up any fry. Do this till they will eat crushed flakes and do the same for those so they sink instead of float. Wait till they're bigger to learn to eat from the top of the tank.
