Devolo 09124 dLAN 500 Duo+ Single Adapter

As many others have also reported this adapter made a quiet-ish whining noise but one that could be heard in a quiet room. Also with the ports situated on the top side of the adapter it makes for one messy and bulky looking solution. They should have kept the ports on the bottom side or at least allowed the socket to rotate for either orientation. Devolo admitted it was faulty and although it has been returned I have not replaced it.

These work really well on my system. I had no problem setting them up and I bought a third to add to the configuration. I use them instead of WiFi on items like Satellite box, and a PC in another room. Rock solid internet connection. No problems to date.

Item received just fine & works well, it's a pity the network connectors exit at the top of the unit, this makes them more visible, which is not good.

Bought this as an extension to the dLAN 500 wireless plus kit, to which I attached my cable router. Plugged in (to a socket in the conservatory) and it set itself up within a couple of minutes - now I have wireless access out in the garden.

This was returned because the name and photo implied that this was a set of two units, when in fact it's just one unit. No good at all for a starter pack since at least two are required. The price for a single unit is way over the top.
