Linksys RE3000W N300 2.4 GHz WiFi Wireless Single Band Range Extender

I was a little apprehensive at first because I use a MBP and time capsule and wasn't sure if this would play well with them. However, I am very happy to say I was completely wrong. This is one of the better range extenders at this price point and is very reliable. Setup is easy, whether you go the wizard way or manual. It has worked without a single hiccup since I installed it and doesn't drop the network once it connects. I would have to recommend this over the TP-Link products simply because of its ease of set up, sleek design, minimal indicators and reliability. I would recommend it even if it means spending a few hundred rupees more than you originally planned because it does exactly what it is meant to, and does it exceedingly well.

Seems to be working fine. For a sub 3000 rs extender, does the job as I expected. I'm in an open air village with just one internet connection. My repeater is placed in a corner room of my top floor. It catches Wifi signal from a modem about 50 feet away and repeats it in the entire upper storey of my home. Pretty strong signal too. Of course the signal weakens with additional floors and walls. But I'm happy with the buy.

After researching a LOT on wifi extenders, I decided to buy this one and I made the right choice! I have a 2600 sq ft home and so wifi signal never reached any of the bedrooms. But after installing this product, I get full wifi range in every single part of my home! Installing it with its CD was so easy! Only problem is that it heats up and stops working so I have to switch it off and on many times a day.

Will keep this simple for points that matter most:+ Great range.+ No intermittent drops - Good signal strength.+ High customization - You can choose the range, power of signal etc. from the UI+ Easy setup and works well with the router - No interferenceBest part - Simply works and works great! Finally my search for wireless range extender is over :)

Don't buy this product. Firstly the good bit. The extender givess a good coverage, and the whole house is covered.However, the bandwidth offered is very erratic lots of packet drops. Not at all suited for streaming movie services.Secondly, the product ships with an outdated firmware, you will have to update the firmware, else your setup will not complete.Thirdly, there is a tool inbuilt in the setup which guides you for placing the repeater in an optimal place, but it never works.Finally Amazon does not accept returns for this, only reacement. If you are like me, then you can only read the above and weep, or try to palm it off to some dweebs, like how linksys suckered us.

Worth every penny! Just follow the instruction for install location. It should be mid-way between the wifi router and the place where you need signals. Excellent Product. Easy setup. No signal drop. So far So Good !

Wifi signal is weak and does not travel far enough. Not usable in 1st floor if router is in ground floor. Frequent drop of signal and needs to be switched manually if a person moves away from this device and gets closer to router. App and installation is not user friendly.

Received the Linksys RE3000 yesterday and I believe its a Indonesian version. Anyway I started to set it up without the installation CD through my MacBook Air and the configuration page would not open to where the Wifi Extender would self configure itself as a Repeater by catching the existing Wifi network. Luckily I had a MacBook Pro with a DVD drive so I used the setup CD from the box and the installation was a breeze & took approx. 4-5 minutes.Bear in mind , during the initial setup you need to keep the Linksys RE3000 near or in good range of your existing Wifi Router. After the self setup configuration completes you may move it to your desired location but you must be sure there is some signal available for the range extender to keep up with the speed and avoid any sort of lag.Hope this helps anyone considering this extender !
