works okay but backs up if you get a kink in the supply line. Also was shipped to me dirty. I knew it was used but would've expected them to at least clean it up!!!

The system works great but with flaws. THE PROBLEM is getting the shampoos & conditioners!
We've had our Hydrosurge for 5 years and it still functions well. All of the labeling will wear off within a year or two so prepare for that. The biggest concern is Hydrosurge, owned by Oyster is very dysfunctional and sold out to big box stores. They will not longer sell you wholesale direct and they are constantly running out of stock on most of their lines. You can get a few on Petedge but Chewy is completely out of stock. You'll pay double on Amazon. Its a mess and we are very disappointed as this has gotten worse and worse the past 3 years. Highly recommend you stay clear and find an alternative.

I love it but it is still over priced
I have owned this bathing system for 3 years & I love it. I have show dogs; old english sheepdogs to be exact. This bathing system has cut my bathing time in half. I do not like the shampoo they recommend. It does not get your dogs clean. I use the shampoo that I have always used, my dogs turn out clean & it works great in this system. I agree the bathing system is over priced. I couldn't afford to buy it but I lucked out at a dog show & purchased it for $400.00 without the shampoo; it was a display model for the dealer. He said he felt it was a very good product but priced to high for his customers. I think the company should lower the price instead of trying to intice people by adding shampoo & clippers to the deal. People are smart enough to add up what shampoo & clippers cost if purchased separetly. When you minus the cost of these items, the bathing system is still over priced.

The best way to really clean your dog
I am disabled and have two working dogs. I do not think the places I visit doctor's offices, grocery storest, restaurant, etc. would like smelly dirty work dog in their place of business. I was the shepherd and lab once a week, taking care to use a good cleaning shampoo and a really good conditioner. W/O the Hydrosurge and the raised tub I would not be able to do this. Just as an extra care for the pups, who deserve it, I also have a propane demand hot water heater setup that I found in a RV magazine (Good Sam I think). With both the lab's short and other shepherd's long hair, I have yet to have any problems getting them clean soft, fluffy, and to thier displeasure smelling great. I towel dry them then finish off with a complete drying using an "air force" dryerthat I used to have for my motorcycle that I sold as I can no longer ride it. The last step is to use the dyson vacuum with Its special attachment dor deshedding and brushing. Neither of the dogs dislike the or vaccuum. The lab loves the bath as we play and the shepherd tolerates thee bath so she can get the towel dryingIf I did not have the HydroSurge I would no longer have the ability to wash the dogs as it would be more than I could do w/o severe pain. I still hurt after the baths but it is tolerable with my meds. That would be another $100 each week that ii can ot afford on a fixed income.Bottom line this is a great product by itself. If you combine a couple of other tools you get a professional outcome and a fun time with your best friend with not a lot of physical efforts as the tools are doing the work if you let them.Good Luck. Remember these are my results with my dogs. Yours may be very different

Don't buy into it!
The company I work for uses this system. The pros? The hose itself is nice. The cons: unless you have a dog with thin/short/already-washed-at-home fur, this thing is not going to get them clean. Let's use a Golden Retriever as an example. Generally speaking, these dogs are big, their hair is pretty thick, and more often than not they have a very strong "doggy" odor. That Hydrosurge system you just spent $1000 on is NOT going to get that smell out. Admittedly, sometimes not even hand-washing the dog will get some odors out, but you're certainly not going to get anywhere with this system. As I've said, due to moving and training and helping out, I've worked at a total of 4 stores within this company, and every one of them has dealt with the exact same problems with the Hydrosurge system: even with the "soap" dial turned all the way, there are times when you just don't get much product coming out; if the water pressure isn't decent, that whole "unique combing action" spray isn't doing a thing. In fact, if your water pressure isn't good, you're probably not going to get much soap to come out, either. As I found out later, many stores (including the one where I now work) ignore the Hydrosurge for all but wetting down the dog, and opt to handwash instead. I can't tell you how many complaints I've heard from owners claiming their dog still felt or smelled dirty, and they have no clue what system we're using. Since coming to this store, where all the dogs are washed the old-fashioned way, I haven't heard a single complaint about them being dirty. So seriously. Skip over this thing, because I guarantee you it is not going to give you the results you'd like to have in a professional grooming salon.

Not what i hoped for at all
I got this model directly from the company on their lease Program. Years ago i had the recirculating pump model and loved it. This model however did not get my dogs clean. The shampoo that comes with it is not good at all. I tried my own shampoo as well still not impressed. Ive decided to by the original model which oster still maked under the oaster name.

How do your pet react with the hydrosurge system?
I have read these reviews, but none speak about how their pets respond with this system. I have a timid Yorkie and I'm curious how the pets react to this bath system.

Overpriced yes, but worth it!
I have been using the hudrosurge for almost 4 years now at both of the salons I work for. At one salon I am the only groomer and it has lasted me all 4 years and I know will continue to last for a while. The other salon has 15 groomers all doing about 5-8 dogs a day. With that salon we usually have to replace the system once a year. As much as it sucks the hydrosurge company is great to work with and has a fantastic product and I have had zero issues with dogs still smelling. The key is to not just spray the dog down but actually massage the shampoo in while you're spraying. I will never use another system!
