I’m in love with this!
I started using these plugs July 2018. No issues. LOVE THEM! This Christmas I bought more and used them to control the tree and lighted wreath, and added the electric candle wax melter (not sure what it should be called, lol —before doing this, we never bothered switching it on) and some lit decorative branches we have in a display. All that in addition to every plugged-in lamp we have in the house. I have extras (love them so much I'm almost in danger of hoarding, lol) and will be adding my hair straightener and hair dryer to my “collection”. When we remodeled the kitchen, and rewired so we would have a neutral wire, I bought their wifi controlled light switches. Love, love those, too.So everything is controlled in their very user-friendly app (or by pushing a button on the unit To turn off or on, if you needed to, for some reason). The timer function is the GREATEST feature. So easy to set each day slightly different to make entire house look lived in, yet we can turn off and on any light, via our iPhone or iPad apps to suit us when we are home (or away from home).I have the living room lights grouped together in one group in app (and also listed In app to be controlled individually), so can turn them all on or off all at once if desired; kitchen switches all in their own group, too (and individually as well). Then I put these two groups into an “Entire House” group (though in actuality the bedroom lights aren’t included in any group) should I ever want to turn everything on at once (like if we heard a noise outside when we are in bed).

The one to buy! Easy setup.
This is a terrific flexible dual outlet that can function as either two separate outlets or as a coupled pair when using it via remote controlIt was simple to link to my wi-fi network and to both the Kasa and Alexa smartphone apps. The process took less than 10 minutes, including reading the instructions. This unIt can be controlled manually at the wall, by both phone apps, and by voice control with Alexa. (I'm sure it will work well with other smart home appliance apps, including voice controlled ones, but I have experience with only Alexa.)This unit leaves enough room for another plug or multiple plug adapter In the second wall socket (as shown). However, a second smart plug most likely wouldn't fit, but would require a separate wall outlet.Another nice feature is that the plug receptacles are on the sides, not in front. This presents a neater, wall hugging, space saving appearance because power cords don’t protrude outward from the front.I use it to power a pair of M-Audio pro monitors in a home recording studio. A voice command electrifies them together, freeing me from having to stretch to manipulate the rear power switches on the speakers’ out of the way room locations.I have a single socket Wemo for a bedroom lamp, which is good, but I wish I had known about the Kasa brand when I bought it. I'd recommend this dual smart plug for anyone who needs to control two appliances separately or simultaneously from one wall outlet.

Big but stays put
I'm using one port to Alexa voice control a reading lamp and the other port as a always-on plug for my laptop. It's installed behind a couch so I sometimes have to reach behind and unplug my laptop's power adapter. My couch is like quicksand, so I have a very limited amount of time before my knees sink too low into the couch and I no longer have the reach to unplug anything. Once I psyche myself up and visualize the plan of attack, I am surprised each time on how well this plug stays put when panic sets in and I realize all my planning was for naught and I start clawing at the power plug before it's out of reach completely. Usually with big and bulky power splitter type devices like this they fall out like a ripened coconut. Also the manual off/on buttons concerned me but none of my panicked clawing has ever triggered them.

Best to have ALL Smart Devices from the same company.
Smart switch and devices are great to have. The problem is when you have to use different Apps to control different types of devices. TP-Links have the great number of different devices which ALL run from the same App.This model was just as easy to install as any of the other derives. Even shows there are two Plugs that have to be setup (which is very easy to do). Just remember you have to add a different schedule to turn the plug on or off.The only problem with the unit is the orientation of where you plug a cord into. The ground hole should point DOWN. It points to the front. So a normal two-prong with ground plug sticks the cord away from the wall instead of down. Not a problem if the cord is only a two-prong plug with a ground prong.

Lay flat against the plug.
Worked perfectly. Easy to add to Kasa and Alexa.

Seems to be a solid product
It's bulky but I am able to use the other socket in the wall outlet but a large plug connector could be problematic. It's only a 2.4GHz device so know that going in. Of course you'll have to download the Kasa app but control using Google works well (haven't tested with Alexa). It has lost connection once in three weeks which meant I entered a dark room without Google being able to turn on the lights which was irritating but to be honest, I had been messing around with my wi-fi extender so that could have been the cause.I have a single mini plug I bought from Kasa that also performs well however, the two-pack of mini plugs I bought is faulty. BOTH devices will disconnect and immediately reconnect AT THE SAME TIME causing brown-out like conditions. I'm working on getting those replaced. But this large smart plug does work as advertised. Just hope you don't end up having to deal with the very poor Kasa TP-Link customer support Those folks are terrible!

Who doesn't love Smart Home?
Two smart plugs in one outlet? What could be better? This is perfect for anything that you normally plug into a wall socket and would like to control with your voice (Alexa or Google), your smart phone, or on a schedule you program or even a sunset/sunrise schedule. The biggest downside of this smart plug is it's size. It is not possible to put two of these in the same wall plug if this is something you'd find convenient. This is the ONLY reason that this smartplug is not getting five stars.

Just one flaw....
Like all TP-Link product's, this one works flawlessly....Just one, major flaw...It's too thick...You cannot use two of them side-by-side in a two plug wall outlet....So, a two plug outlet cannot become a four plug outlet...Perhaps TP Link will make these things slimmer in the future...That would make these smart lugs perfect and deserving of 5 stars....
