Cutler Hammer Circuit Breaker W/O Rejection Clip 20/20 Amp 120 V Bulk

Adding circuits to an older breaker panel can be tricky. The Cutler Hammer panel requires CH type breakers and they are hard to find, at least the ones that are properly described. I installed two twin 20A breakers yesterday and they are a perfect fit; just as stated in the specs.

Have a panel with all breaker slots filled? Don’t pigtail a new circuit to a single breaker. Swap out a single breaker with one of these double breakers. These will fit Eaton and no longer made Challenger panels.

It appears from the labeling that this is not a cutler hammer circuit breaker. However whoever made it designed it to work in cutler hammer breaker boxes. I installed or rather attempted to install this in my breaker box. It was in the last position on the bottom. It would not slide over the metal tap that provides the power. I used a dremel to slightly increase the size of the opening where this tab was supposed to go. This did not work. I kept looking at that tab with a flashlight and thought that it looked like it had been slightly malformed at the factory. I am talking about my breaker box. I finally carefully filed that tab down with a file that had an insulated handle. After smoothing this breaker box tab the new breaker went in on the first try. I first thought that the problem was with the breaker, this was not true. Incredibly, the problem was with a factory defect in my breaker box. So I give it five stars for working just fine.
