MCS 18x24 Original Poster Frame in Black with Pressboard Back and Styrene Glazing, 18" x 24"

Purchased several of MCS' LP/Record frames and was stunned at how elegant and beautiful they are in presenting old school vinyl. The aluminum bevels are sharp and fit without gaps. A truly pleasant surprise given the price and my 5-star review for that product reflects that pleasure.However, I can't say the same about their poster-sized versions which are in the same pricing tier. Made of cheap plastic, the fittings are not quite as flush and the presentation not as clean. A rather stark contrast of products, even though they're not significantly different in size.Adequate for the purpose. It borders a bit on a bait-n-switch given that the description doesn't clarify that these are not metal, though they're similarly marketed as their LP aluminum products.MCS does in fact produce metal poster sized frames, but you need to know the difference beforehand. The advertising for this version clearly does not do that.Note: If you do decide to make a purchase, insure the best possible results by checking to see that Amazon itself is the shipper. Sometimes the issues noted by other reviewers often stem from the use of store fronts. These are smaller companies which utilize Amazon as their online presence. To insure proper packaging to Amazon standards, double check the shipping prior to placing your order and confirm the shipment is from Amazon itself and not a store seller.

First of all, you have to completely take apart the frame to put the poster inside, you can’t just pop off the back and put your poster in so it is really annoying to get good clean corners. Secondly, the hanging hooks on the back aren’t even centered at all so it is hard to hang. Lastly, and MOST ANNOYING OF ALL there was a clear plastic protector on the front which is all well and good until they put this sticker on the front of the actual frame (not on top of the protection) so you have to scratch it off the actual front panel of the image. So stupid! Not worth the hassle at all

I bought this frame because I wanted a very minimal look. I ended up with a piece of garbage with minimal quality. The "frame" is nothing but a piece of hard cardboard and plastic with four black plastic rods you slide over the sides. The cardboard backing and the plastic front do not match up well so when you try and slide the black rods over the sides it damages the art. This is absolute garbage, walmart frames are better quality. I'd ask for a refund but it's been too long since I bought it. Take my advice, stay far away.

Bought this to frame a puzzle. The dimensions were correct but the thickness of the puzzle prevented it from properly closing. I'd imagine this is perfect for a thin poster, but anything thicker will prove challenging.

This is a friction frame which sandwiches the backing with the plastic front. This type of frame won't fit something with any thickness but it will fit any picture you can think of. I wanted to frame a poster in this and it worked just wonderfully for that.

My daughter made me a painting for mother's day and it was on large paper. I couldn't find the right sized poster frame anywhere locally except for ones that were well over $25. I found this one and purchased it. It's the perfect size, got here quickly and was in good shape. I always worry about the clear plastic pieces being scratched because you see that so much in the store but this was fine.It went together well and stays together. It does feel a little flimsy but it's a poster frame made of plastic. No one is going to be feeling it. They'll be admiring the art inside. :)

Meh. I ordered these solely because I'd picked up two 18X24 posters and was having trouble finding frames that size at local brick and mortar retail.These frames are of the cheapest variety you'd find in any giant box store down the street. The four sides are fairly difficult to get into place, and nearly as difficult to keep in place when moving the framed poster from table to wall.I'll probably replace these whenever I happen on the correct size frames in a store later on.

Purchased for my wife for her FB stadium map. She put it together by herself, seemingly with no problems. No issues with it so far!

Dear MCS,I just wanted to let you know that the Original Framed Artwork that I purchased from you is the most beautiful thing I have ever purchased. When I first came across this stunning image of thee red flowers, I fell in love. When I realized that I could buy two pieces of this original artwork, I was astonished. The detail is remarkable - I cannot find a difference between them. I am so happy to have these on the ceiling above my bed. I fall asleep to their beauty every night.My only criticism is of the frames themselves. I feel like they do an injustice to the artwork. May I ask what your reasoning was behind this choice of frame? If there is anyway that you can put me in touch with the artist behind “Red Flowers”, I would love the opportunity to thank them for their contribution to my home.

I ordered the 18 X 24 Original Poster Frame to give an art print some protection. The product came in a plastic wrap that was easy enough to remove and also includes a piece of sticky plastic over the plastic "glass" to protect it from damage. The black frame comes apart into four separate rods, after which you can remove the plastic glass and git rid of the provided image to replace with one of your own. This was all going quite smoothly until I had to put the frame back together. It was very difficult to do so and I cut my hand on one of the sharp corners of the rods. When it was put together the poster frame looked nice with the print and I would recommend it to people who want a cheaper alternative to photo frames. This product also comes with two hooks on the back so you can choose if you want to hang your frame vertically or horizontally.

The plastic covers for the posters inside the frames came cracked, scratched, and chipped. Most of the damage was on the edges and when the frame was assembled was not visible. But there are a few marks noticeable from three or four feet. The damage must have occurred in manufacturing because the packaging was quite substantial and seemed more than sufficient to protect the plastic. I would definitely not buy these again.

This frame is the most ridiculous thing I've ever had to deal with. It was so flimsy, and to put the picture in you have to remove all four sides and then pray to the poster gods that you can put the four plastic sides back on (good luck, and be mindful kids aren't around because you'll swear a lot). I've bought similarly priced frames on Amazon before and they were way better than this. Never again, don't do it unless you're sadistic.

For the price you can’t expect much, though it’s certainly possible to find cheaper wooden frames in Walmart at a similar price. Mine came quite badly warped, and the plexiglass had a small chip in the corner, though the plastic frame covers it, so I avoided the hassle of exchanging it. Very delicate, so it’s a bit of a gamble with it actually getting to you in one piece, but affordable and simple. Probably wouldn’t purchase again
