Good, solid controls with a comfortable feel - the device is a little smaller than many controllers so would not recommend for people with chunky hands but I personally find it a much better fit than the standard large size controllers. Response is consistent and the analog sticks feels solid, which is important as the last controller I purchased the analog sticks both fell apart after a few months, this one has already lasted much longer.

Well, it works.
Sadly it has a cheap feel, not that it is expensive BUT did expect better. The main issue is its weight, or lack of, far from the older stuff that even used to have a few chunks of metal inside to weigh it down a bit.Apart from that, all good

Multiple failures
The rubber covering on the left analogue stick failed within 3 weeks.Underneath the rubber covering is quite a thin piece of plastic which is sharp - hence why it cut through the rubber very quickly.Although I am quite heavy handed when using the controllers I didn't expect it to fail so quickly. The controller can still be used if you have thick skin on your left analogue finger/thumb.The Left analogue stick didn't fail completely like other I have had though.Too late to return

A Step Backwards for Thrustmaster's Gamepads
The only piece of electronics I've used longer than my Sennheiser PC151 headset is my Thrustmaster Dual Power 3. I'm not sure how many years exactly, but it must be approaching 10. Despite looking ragged from my travelling, it still works perfectly. Having served me so well, I decided to opt for Thrustmaster again and purchase the Dual Analog 4. For those that don't know, Thrustamster had a Dual Analog 3 (non-vibrating) and Dual Power 3 (vibrating). The images of the Dual Analog 4 make the pad look very solid and well built. In the hand it's a different story. First of all, it's smaller and lighter than the Dual Power 3 and as such it doesn't fit in my man hands so well. The plastic used, also feels cheap and I have doubts it'd ride through thick and thin with me like my previous pad. The offset analog sticks are of course copied from the Xbox style of controller. Having tried it, I'm certain the symmetrical configuration of the Dual Power 3 works better for me, as often I'll use both analog sticks simultaneously. The sticks also feel fragile in comparison to the previous generation. Lastly, for some reason, they've done away with the two underside triggers that would normally be operated with the middle finger and instead added tiny start and select style buttons on top of the pad. These are far less useful than the triggers. I'm not sure what happened in Thrustmaster's design department but they've really taken something that was great and made it worse in nearly everyway I can think of. A Mac user reviewed the pad, giving it 5 stars, stating that there was "No set up required and it worked instantly". In this day and age I would expect that from a simple input device anyway (at least for PC). I've now put the new pad back in it's box and will continue to use my old Dual Power 3 or replace it with a new Dual Power 3 (they're still sold here on Amazon, and cheaper than this pad).

Exactly what I wanted, good for fighting games!
THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL REVIEW, PLEASE GO TO THE BOTTOM AS I HAVE UPDATED IT. AVOID THIS PAD.So the D-pad on the regular xbox 360 control is awful for fighting games, anyone that has tried playing mortal kombat or street fighter knows exactly what I am talking about. The d-pad on this is perfect, now I can do special moves everytime without fail! The rest of the pad is great quality too, the analog sticks are in the right places and the pad feels less bulky than the average xbox control. While it isn't the best looking control in the world, for the price you pay it's fine, especially when it does such a great job. After my first one arrived I purchased a second. If you're looking for a pad with a good d-pad for fighting games on the 360, get this pad!UPDATED: So purchased 2 pads, and I've been using both to play "injustice" for xbox 360, within a month of using the D pad it has stopped working correctly on BOTH pads, and I am a pretty gentle guy. On one pad the D pad doesn't register when I press Right on the D pad, I have to fiddle a bit to get it to sense that I pressing right, but as soon as I press up, down or left and go to press right it wont register again so I have to fiddle.I have the same problem on the other pad, not as bad but thats because I stopped using them both.SO -1 STARS OUT OF 5 BECAUSE IT ISNT RELIABLE BUT 1/5 IS AS LOW AS I CAN RATE IT. AVOID THIS PAD

Bought for £20, fair enough.
I'd actually say 3.5/5, but it's okay. It's not the best, but it's good enough for the price. The D-pad however, came as a big disappointment. It's loose and inaccurate, not as precise as I'd hoped and surely not as great as it looks. Makes it hard to play older games where the analog is non-optimal as I, by mistake, press more directions than the intended one.But hey, you get what you pay for. Except the D-pad, it's a solid gamepad. :)
