Inno Board Locker 745
I bought this item after searching high and low for a really easy to use surf board carrier for my 2003 porsche cayenne. The factory roof racks on this car are really wide and don't work with many aftermarket accessories. The porsche surf board carrier is also really dumb and very expensive.I received the boardlocker 745 within a week of ordering it (shipped from USA to Australia!) which was fantastic.I didn't buy the long bolt kit, but to fit this product to the cayenne's roof racks, you really need the long bolt kit. A quick trip the the hardware sourced some suitable replacement bolts that were rated the same at the original high tensile bolts. You actually only need two longer bolts as you can re-use the longer two bolts already on the rack, just move them to the other position. This product it nothing short of amazing. It is so easy to use. I needed something that would allow my wife to get our son's 8 foot board onto the top of the cayenne (which is quite tall and wide), and with the board locker, you can just slide the board into the rack from the back of the car, and then just go around to the side and tighten them up.My only minor complaint is that the little rubber feet on the bottom keep falling off. They are important for the racks to "grip" and prevent scratches on the factory racks. I just super glued them on, problem solved.I would recommend this set up for anyone with a surfboard, and especially for other cayenne owners. They are so easy to remove also when you're not carrying the board, takes less than a minute to remove and install both racks, so easy. These racks are easily one of the best products on the market.I am not affiliated with either Inno or Amazon, just a totally satisfied customer.

INNO is The Best Surfboard Rack Ever
Quite simply, the best surfboard rack I have ever owned. I utilized the straps for years. Straps always needed adjusting, were prone to wind noise at highway speeds & took extra minutes to install if doing so alone. The INNO is fantastic: easy to install on the factory stock rack crossbars of my 2006 Toyota FJ; carries three boards (and I have, many times, driven 3-6 hrs with three longboards up there with no issues); rapid ease of use; locking straps (I have left the boards on the rack overnight when at hotels on more occasions than I can count); & truly one-person load / unload of boards.A buddy of mine turned me on to the INNO, on his BMW. Without question, worth every penny for this superb, top-quality product.

Rack for 03 Suburban
Got rack for 03 Suburban. Had to do some research to see if it would fit factory racks because of negative reviews of others ( racks have be a maximum of 3.5 inch wide by 1.2 inch thick to work, or 90mm x 30mm, for it to work without the long bolt kit). Easy to install, but a couple of issues...wasn't quite sure how tight was too tight for the small bolts; was afraid I would somehow crack the plastic--or is it nylon?-- base, but after fighting with it for a few minutes got it figured out. Another thing was that the Inno would not sit plumb on my rack--not because of the Inno design but because the Suburban factory rack is shaped like an airplane wing...fat on the front and skinny on the back. Unless you are extream OCD it shouldn't be a problem....I guess I'll get used to it! Haven't put both short board and longboard on it yet, but drove around for a few hours with a 9-0 WRV looking for waves today in the hellish wind leftover from the huge storm yesterday ( so called Storm Saturn), and board didn't move at all and extra noise/whistling wasn't a problem at all. Maybe I'll update the review after my trip to Hatteras in a few weeks. Also, when unhooking the strap, the wires were bound up in the ratchet and I had to tug a little to get it off...but this may have been my fault for ratcheting down the strap too much . I would have given it the 5 stars if the was some way to make it sit plumb...rubber wedges, maybe? Overall, good product, seems sturdy, lock seems to be ok, wires are a little thin but not many surfboard theifs walk around with wire cutters. This is really a deterrent to stop honest people and crimes of opportunity, if you had a $2000 Robert August I'd keep it inside the truck.

Better than I expected
== Update after much usage ===After using this for a while I like it even more. I timed it: It take 25 seconds to pull the board from my garage and get it loaded onto the rack. It takes 18 seconds to take it off the rack and put it away.I don't even bother putting my short board in my car any more. It's easier to just throw it on the rack.I've taken the rack off for a couple of road trips and it's about 2 minutes to put it back on the car. Some of the best money I've ever spent.== Original review ==* Easily mounted to my factory bars in a few minutes. Same mount as the ski rack I have from the same manufacturer. Way better than the Thule mount on my bike rack. Once it's set up there's no threading of anything. Just release a latch and it pops right off or back on. Simple, fast and secure. I'd like to buy a beer for the engineer who designed it.* Super simple usage. Throw the boards up there. Attach the loop. Crank it down.* Holds the boards more securely than straps and pads that I used before. There's no risk of the boards sliding side to side so you don't really have to crank down so hard on the boards. With the straps I always felt like I had to pull them super tight to keep my longboard from moving.* No more throwing straps over the car and running in circles.* I carry a big thick long board and a fun board. It would hold another board easily.* BONUS: Since the boards sit a bit higher off of the rails you gain a little more clearance if you have a tailgate. The tailgate of my FX 35 now goes up a bit more before hitting the board. This thing took the biggest pain about surfing and made it simple. Easily worth the money. Buy one.

A bit expensive but works well.
I thought the price was high but I admit it works very well.

Très solide et facile à installer
Très bien, cependant j'aurais souhaité pouvoir ajuster la largeur du support à ma planche
