I was visiting my best friend and I went to the supermarket with her and I saw her pull out these to put her produce in and I was mindblown. I had to get some myself! I almost got another brand and the tags were more colourful but I chose these because it would be easier to differentiate the bag sizes when i'm pulling them out of my big reusable grocery bag. These will definitely be helpful when I go to the farmers market for produce. I like that they're able to go into the fridge incase I run out a bowl to put things like limes or potatoes or anything that can roll around and roll away in the fridge.They feel pretty sturdy. I'm a little concerned about the drawstring. But I just have to make sure I open the clasp wide enough so that it doesn't damage the drawstring when I open or close the bag. I've only used them once so far. I got tomatoes, onions and other heavy produce and it held up.I read in other reviews about a chemical smell coming from the bag. I wouldn't call it a chemical smell but it just smells like raw unwashed cloth which to me seems normal.

We started working with a commercial composting service, and it was a sudden moment of realizing how much of our trash is nonrecyclable plastic. I bought these cotton bags in an effort not only to reduce the plastic surrounding so much of our produce, but also so that the bags themselves could be composted when they've been completely worn out.I like the sizes of these bags. We buy a lot of apples and oranges every week, and the large bags carry them all. The only minor downside is that the checkout clerks at our store get a little annoyed at needing to open the bags to check the produce codes on the stickers. Only one has actually said anything, but it's still clear from the rest. They're less annoyed when I leave the bags only loosely closed.I've used them every week for months, and they're still in perfect condition. I haven't needed to wash them yet, but I'd expect better results hanging them to dry.

I had to wash and air these little bags for a while before the smell would go away. It was......chemical-y to say the least. Apart from that, I am obsessed with these bags! The cashiers at my local grocery store hate them, though, because they have to open them individually to see what's inside. I don't mind that at all if I'm reducing the amount of plastic I use! I love that they come in 3 different sizes! I use the small ones for fruit, medium for potatoes, and the large one for large vegetables like kale or celery. So far, they've been great with no durability issues!

So far these are very good. I am particularly looking forward to using these for farmers markets this summer. Appear well made and durable. It will take a learning curve to use in supermarkets. But please try to cut your plastic usage!

I was pleased with the number of bags and I love the philosophy of reducing plastic. There was a very distinct odor when I first unpacked - a little off putting but I took several to the store and they work great. I have not washed them yet so I don't know about easy to clean.

These bags look very nice...three sizes and made of cotton mesh.However, I purchased these as a gift and it would be nice if there was something in the package from the company that made them. There wasn't even a piece of paper with the name of the company or anything about them or the product. Just a clear package with the bags in it. I'm sure the recipient would like to know something about them or at least, their name.I can't check the star rating for durability or ease of cleaning since they are a gift and I won't be using them.I recently purchased a case for my new iPhone from amazon. It came in a lovely box with a pretty printed card inside that told all about their company and product. I appreciated it so much and the case is beautiful. I would definitely recommend them.

pro: looks sturdy/feels sturdy, easy push metal drawstring, tare weight tag, washable, removable metal drawstring to perhaps recycle separately from bagcon: (should be fixable, no biggie) : new, chemical smell (probably will go away after spray/ soak), drawstring mechanism was pulled through the wrong holes, but can easily untie and pull through right holes (I did, works now)*I suggest hand wash to make metal -like drawstring last longer

Just received the bags, but have not used the yet. The bags seem to be just what I was looking for to reduce my use of single use plastic. I will be putting them to the test with in the next two days, and I am looking forward to their use. Can't hardly wait to see the faces of the checkout person at the grocery stores I use.
