Contigo AUTOSPOUT Straw Addison Water Bottle, 24oz, Purple

Super wonderful, makes me drink a lot more because I know how much it is and the straw makes it almost fun! Also, when you drink it with the bottle pointing upwards, it makes a dolphin sound. Need I say more? BUY IT!!! Become a dolphin. Revel in your new dolphin identity.

We've been through MANY water bottles and this has been the best. I had some issues at the beginning where the water was extremely difficult to get through the straw but after playing with the rubber piece on the inside of the cover it's been perfect. The straw allows a really nice amount of water to come through. The bottle holds a lot of water and it doesn't have any funny taste to it. I love that the spot closes and gets covered and that it opens with a button instead of having to pull it open.

Edited Review: Downgraded to three starsLikes:1. Shape of the bottle (except for how tall it is, see below). Easy to hold in one hand, fits most cup holders. Grip at the top is nice too.2. The spout is covered when closed, and easily opened with the push of a button.3. The straw is angled towards the spout end of the bottle so you can tip to get the most water out.4. You don't have to bite!5. Seems extremely durable.Dislikes:1. I'm not a fan of the texture of the mouth piece. The kiddie sized 14 oz seems too small for an adult to carry around (plus it only comes in extremely juvenile colors), and the 24 oz one is really tall.I'm taking this bottle on a trip soon where is should see heavy use. I'll update review if necessary.Update: Beware if you are taking this on trip and driving over mountain passes. The water will come up out of the straw and spill everywhere with rapid pressure changes. If your ears are popping, watch out! We learned to keep our spouts closed, and if we were in hilly terrain, to unscrew the lid to relieve pressure build up before trying to take a drink. Obnoxious. Also, this bottle is noisy to drink from. The black air vent doesn't seem to actually do anything. When you take a drink and then remove your mouth, the water splashes down and air rushes into the bottle with a sploosh. So if you are planning to take this bottle to drink discreetly at work/school/church, be aware.

If you are some sort of weird amphibian creature that needs to remain moist at all times, you're in luck! This is the bottle for you. This thing has a mind of it's own and just LOVES to squirt water at you when you pop it open. Not just a dribble, either - a stream of water bursts forth from this thing like a fancy fountain. Thirsty on your way to work? I hope you like looking like you pissed yourself all day, cause this thing is guaranteed to splash directly on your crotch. Do not even enter a room with any expensive electronics, the bottle will sense this and you will regret it. This water bottle has ruined my life.(Seriously though, the reason it has two stars instead of one is that it really is a nice water bottle. The straw/spout thing is so convenient to drink out of and it's really sturdy. You may be able to make this work for you if you don't mind leaving the spout popped open 24/7. In my experience, it only squirts when it's been closed for a while.)

The black seal on the lid came off and will not stay on. I see that this is a very well-known issue and one that seemingly has not been dealt with. One of the top reviews on amazon shows this issue and even on the Contigo site the water bottle gets 2 stars and the replacement lid gets 1 star! Most every one of the reviews lists that the cap seal comes off frequently and I can attest that it does. Even if you get it back on, it will likely fall off again not long later. Don't buy.

I use this water bottle for my workouts and it's great. Next time I'll get the 32 ounce, though, so I don't have to refill it so many times.The straw comes off so you can clean it thoroughly, and it's thick enough to where you can drink smoothies not just water. There's no taste to the water bottle which is good!I received this product in exchange for an honest review.

I have purchased two of these water bottles and both have disappointed me. I loved the first one so very much. It was my favorite water bottle and I took it everywhere! Then, I started to have issues while sipping water - for some reason, a ton of air was coming up through the straw and I hardly got any water. It was really noisy and embarrassing when I would drink out of it because so much air was coming through, but I loved this water bottle and didn't want to give up on it.I tried lots of things to fix it or use it another way by taking out the straw, but it was no good.I truly loved the bottle so much, I decided to buy a new one. I know what you're saying right now, but I thought maybe I did something to the bottle or that this particular one was flawed. I was once again in water bottle heaven and enjoyed it thoroughly. After many months went by, it started to get noisy when I would drink out of it. I wasn't getting a lot of air through the straw, but it was just noisy. And now finally, my second bottle died. Too much air and not enough water. Now it leaks all over me when I try to drink it. I've tried multiple ways to fix it or find the problem, but to no avail.The water bottle is wonderful but definitely flawed.
