Bulk Buy: Lily Sugar'n Cream Ombres (2-pack) (Painted Desert)

This yarn is terrible. First off, it's not very soft but that's not the issue here. The main issue is that the yarn is not spun together tightly and instead of being a single strand, it's more like a bunch of strings twirled together. While crocheting, the strings come come apart and the crochet hook gets caught on them. That means pulling through individual strings instead of the whole yarn, causing pulling issues, having to backtrack constantly, and extreme frustration. Trying to do dc and tc is a nightmare trying to pull through multiple loops which become many single strings.I regret purchasing this yarn. I will never buy this brand again. Using this yarn is so frustrating. And it's expensive for the tiny amount you get, so it really makes all the frustration worse.

I bought this yarn to teach my grand kids how to crochet. It turns out, they were a little too young to learn how to handle a hook, so we did "finger crochet" for the girls which morphed into finger weaving for the boys. They loved the bright colors and made necklaces, wrap bracelets, even rings...with and without pony beads. A wonderful, fun activity for all of us. They were making more for their friends when I left. The yarn was easy to work with and held the knots we needed to finish the projects. I also like to use this yarn to crochet pot holders. They work up fast and take about a ball apiece. The cotton yarn makes the best potholders. My only complaint with this color combo is that it doesn't seem to be as colorfast as the solid colors I have used in this brand. My fingers were dyed blue after working with it.

I disliked how tiny these two balls of yarn were. This was an over priced product. The picture makes it look like I was getting more than I actually got. I need to read the small print in the future.

This is the only cotton yarn I use and I love this color, but don’t find it much, so I ordered two. In the pictures, the yarn on the right is much, much duller than the one on the left. It seems to be “dirty” which I have never seen before. I understand that there are some muted colors but the bright colors have no POP either. Never had this happen before. Are these just old? Are they sitting around in a warehouse gathering dirt and dust? Are they bottom of the barrel, a bad batch of colors, or what? I do not want to go to the hassle of returning, but I would like an explanation or something done about this.

Wonderful colors that are consistent between orders. No die lots to worry about. 4-stars rather than five because the yarn does split or unravel relatively easily but it goes back together readily. I'm using it for continuous weave on a pin loom to make a table cover. The pic shows it before washing. I expect it to shrink and tighten up after hot-water washing.

I used this to make a bunch of Christmas presents. I made crochet scrubbies, and wash clothes for doing the dishes. I also made cotton pads for washing the face, and some bookmarks. It worked really well on its own, and mixed with scrubby yarn. The two pack was a great price. I love the mix of white and yellow, it works well in a lot of different projects! It’s not the softest yarn, but I love working with it. Definitely recommend!!

Love this yarn. I make washcloths and hand towels. Love the effect of ombre and solid border. Since I only use one clean washcloth every time I wash my face I can make a lot of these quickly. Then put the cloth in a mesh bag for individual washing and just air dry. Not putting them in dryer helps them stay as nice as when I made them. Three cloths a day at least and 3 towels. Keeps my face clean and glowing.

would rather purchase this on a larger scale than a small ball. I use it to knit dishclothes and one little ball does not do it. When will you be getting the larger cone of yarn.

I love this cotton yarn,but it is becoming too pricey for me

I liked the yarn but for the money it was not worth it.In the picture the balls of yarn look bigger.
