Seat is sturdy and seems to be well built, is a plastic type of material, using on aluminum boat with swivel mount. Can use seats with or without covers, find to be a nice option. Any item can break, but worth the try.

Q: the ad doesn't give choices as to color....what color is this seat? I'm looking for something in blue

When I bought such a chair, then I got it with "blue inserts", in those places where white inserts are now. And this color is also beautiful. Good quality product.
