Quality, Function Unbeatable
These are much more expensive than the typical Chinese versions you get on ebay. And they are worth it. First, the connections are reliable. Second, the length of the threads allow you to put them into something other than a paper thin panel. Third, the nut is actually a nut, it is made of quality steel and doesn't disintegrate trying to use a pliers to tighten it. Fourth, you don't have to use a pliers to tighten it - it is a hex nut so a wrench works quite nicely.

Too thin to fit a Samson wireless lavalier
The product worked exactly as I expected. I was modding a Samson ST-2 wireless mic belt pack to use a plug-in headset. This adapter fit exactly in the hole and the solder points slid right into the points on the pack. You will need to break off one of the points to work (number 3? I think) Use Sugru to fill in the slight gap in fit, but it is a vast improvement over resoldering the wire each time it gets frayed. The threads on the headphone jack also fit the sennheiser wireless headset system, so you can lock it in place if you want.

Perfect for car project
Perfect for my project to update my auxiliary input on my '04 Mazda 3. This panel mount is the perfect style I was looking for and this was one of the only ones I could find on here that matched. I wanted the black beveled look to match the space on the console where it would appear. It required drilling a little larger than a 1/4" hole through the plastic (can't say the exact size because that was the largest bit I had). I filed the hole larger until I could just squeeze the threads through. The panel I mounted it on was about an 1/8" thick and just right for the nut to secure it. Any thicker though and the threads would have potentially been too short.Very pleased with the style and quality.UPDATE (3/26/2015): Apparently this product has changed. It now shows an all metallic silver adapter. The one i reviewed was all black plastic with a nice smooth flange and bevel around the plug opening.

Shallow Mounting Threads
Jack seems fine but turned out to not fit my project. The threads were not deep enough for the panel I wanted to mount it through.

Didn't match pictured plug.
The picture of the plug showed the attachment nut screwing in from the back. The one I received has a nut on the front. NOTE: the picture has been changed since I made the order.

Works as Advertised
Was a little bit of a tight fit for my 3.5mm plugs, but it feels secure.

The item is perfect for the job it is designed.
This product was used as an audio socket in a ride on car. It has fit in well, though it was the modified form. I have interest in electronics and try to repair electrical items when it fails to function..

RUBBISH QUALITY
I would not have given a Star Rating at all if it had been an option. The quality is beyond awful!

Great replacement
Quick delivery, packaging was fine. There wasn't a tracking number if I remember rightly but it got to me quickly. Used it to replace the 1/8th inch jack on my headphones for a much more convenient 3.5mm standard one. Good quality
