None of these pill bags or boxes will be very effective at keeping your meds safe from theft. It took me three seconds to pick the lock on this bag, but you won’t find anything better. And if some is able to just steal your bag/box, it doesn’t take much to just cut it/break it open.The only thing it can help with is keeping people out of your pills that don’t know how to break in, or don’t want you to notice. If you’re dealing with friends or family who are addicts, this is hardly a deterrent. It will likely keep young kids out of your meds though, if that’s all you’re looking for.Also, in case you’re wondering, the combo locks aren’t any better. They are very easy to decide. Not only that, but the best I’ve seen are 3 digit locks, which gives a possible 1,000 combinations. That doesn’t take too long for a determined addict to brute force until they find the right combo.I’ve seen on box that lets you use your own lock. The box however was so flimsy all it took was a flathead screwdriver to pop it open.So out of everything out there, this is the best I’ve seen so far, and is easier to carry around than a box. It also helps concerned friends/family members by giving them a false sense of security.

I had a problem with someone stealing my meds when ever I went on vacation this bag has solved my problem

This bag is very thick and well made. The thread is very strong and tightly stitched, there's no way it would come apart. The lock is foolproof! It took me a bit to understand how it worked but once i did, using it is so easy. My husband has had chemo or radiation sessions up to 5 days a week at cancer center for months and he says he feels safer using it. At home, I feel better knowing that his meds are in something that no children could ever open- my worst fear. This is above my expectations and I'm going to give a few as gifts soon. I highly recommend to anyone who takes medicine.

I was very happy when I found this bag, as it was exactly what I was looking for. However, the lock stopped working after less than four months of not-very-intensive use. I expected better.

I use this to hold my methadone doses, as my clinic requires me to have a "lock box" to get my carry-out doses. I was previously using a large metal box, but it was a burden to carry around in my backpack (I take public transportation to and from the clinic), so I decided to look for something lighter. After using this for a few weeks now, I have to say that using this is much more convenient than carrying around the old box, as it weighs substantially less and takes up very little space. It is just big enough to hold all 13 of my doses (I get 2 weeks worth of doses every time I pick up), with each bottle being about 2 inches high.I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a "lock box" for their methadone clinic, or to anyone who needs a secure way of carrying around their meds. The bag comes with 2 keys, and the lock is pretty sturdy. However, I imagine the bag wouldn't be too difficult to cut through, although it isn't a big deal for me, because I only keep my meds in the bag from my methadone clinic to my apartment, after which I immediately transfer my doses to my more secure, older lock box. I would NOT recommend this in the capacity of a home safe, which is not what it was created for.NOTE: If you plan on using this for the same purpose, I would make sure your clinic will accept this for your "lock box" before bringing it, just in case.

Good option to keep meds safe from little kids while traveling. I also use it as an additional layer of deterrent within another locked drawer.

Easy to use. Great for keeping small stuff locked away. Highly recommend.
