Biblical Hebrew Home Study

You can use this for self study but it is intense. Start with the Modern Hebrew first, which is the second half of the book. Then the Biblical Hebrew will be easier for you.

First of all, I'm only two days into the book and it's breathtaking; The one thing I appreciated very much was that "Hebrew for Beginners: The Very Beginner" was included. I highly recommend following the advice of the Author and learning the basics. The graphics and the stock which it is printed on is very good quality. It is very colorful too look at and grabs your attention.This helps the reader to stay involved in the lessons. At first it looks intimidating, But that's why your suppose to read everything at the front of the book and listen to the CDs which are included with them.

This home study course has some excellent points, including a basic course for "beginning beginners." Ben Gigi is heavy on grammar, and goes along very fast, probably faster than the home student can really follow in many if not most cases. Nonetheless, if you stick with it and do a little every day, you will see some progress in this difficult language. And it IS difficult for the majority of English-speakers who haven't learned it in childhood, so don't get discouraged. Keep going back over it and over it, and eventually it will make sense.

It feels like a second grade primer to me.

The CDs are a must that are included. I'm just getting started. Is very difficult for me but the workbook is well illustrated and the CD read-along is very well done.

The product is high quality and it appears that it will be a big help in the study of the Hebrew Language.

It took nearly 3 weeks to get here, but it was waiting at the doorstep when I got home this evening.I’ve been wanting to get this book for a while now. I’ve been “stuck” on grasping the grammar and conjugation, and was told this book might help.While I did have to go in search of an external device to play the CD , the effort was worth it.As a (very) mature age person, learning a new language has been slower than I would like, but tenacity pays off. I highly recommend this book. I didn’t put it down till well after midnight - it was just that easy to comprehend and explain concepts that had previously eluded me.
