Not perfect but...
* The taste between glass and stainless steel with coffee is night and day. I can no longer tolerate using stainless steel with coffee unless I am doing some sort of violent activities.* There are concerns about the stopper not being well isolated, I can see the theory of that, but the reality is this thermos holds heat like no other.* I love the easy pore, it's a great feature and works well.* This is the right size, actually, slightly bigger would be nice to fit all the coffee from my press.* Great priceThis could be made better, I just broke my first liner and when this happens the plastic body does not contain the contents, including fine bits of glass, from either end. When the liner breaks, you will have a mess (in my case, all over my cubical). That said, I will probably find a way to make it self contained for next time. It's a shame they don't make a high end class lined model with replacement parts available. Otherwise, this product is superior, and it's really hard to find a good glass thermos, so I will continue to break and buy. Maybe I will find a leak proof container to transport it in.

Arrived damaged
I already own one since long time and this is the second one I ordered. It holds hot and cold liquids the longest of all thermoses I owned. This is due to glass insert instead of metal. Unfortunately, this arrived not properly packaged, so glass insert was completely shattered. Too bad.

Wonderful for sports events, picnics, demo derby's!!
LOVE this thermos! Has TWO drinking cups, plus a cup for cream, sugar, honey packets! Been looking for replacement for 2 yrs!! (My husband's old HD boss broke ours :-( & was thrown out b4 I could order replacement glass.) In fact, only drawback is the glass liner. This thermos is very durable, but if it is slammed into a garbage can the glass will break (go figure :-D ). Gonna order 2 more... spare for when daughter & grandson accompany us to demo derby in the fall, & one for my daughter to take on her cub scout den mother cold weather stuff (brrr!) Hot beverages STAY HOT for at least 8 hrs. (we usually drink them by then so I just trust the 12 hour claim.

Could be better
First of all, none of the sellers I tried to contact about this item could provide me with the full information.I read other reviews (on the same item from other sellers).People were concerned about its durability and fragility. The item's inner vacuum bottle is really made of fine glass which can be easily broken. And yet (from different sellers including the one I bought from) it comes kind of carelessly packaged. It's just inside a shipping box without extra bubble wrap or something. Sometimes it even comes broken (see reviews on the item from other sellers). So, check the return/refund/replacement policy of a seller before you buy.And this extra packaging is really important taking into account how the item is made. The quality of the outer plastic shell is okay (as much as you can say it about stuff made in China today).Fortunately for me the bottom of the shell may be unscrewed (none of the sellers could tell me about that. They just don't know the product they're selling. One of them even told me that 'according to the manufacturer's specifications the bottom can't be opened' - which is incorrect). This way, if you happen to find a replacement glass vacuum inner bottle you can easily replace it yourself. But the vacuum bottle inside is not fixed. It has some kind of rubber 'cover' at the bottom to protect a gentle 'tip' (made when creating its vacuum). The 'mouth' of the vacuum bottle touches the liner at the top of the outer shell (and the liner doesn't fit the 'mouth' as I would expect it to). And that's it.So, the inner glass is not fixed in place with anything. It was very wobbly inside. That's why it could easily break even if the bottle falls on its side.To secure the vacuum glass bottle inside I cut a few pieces of styrofoam and stuck them between the glass and the outer plastic shell. Now the inner glass stays in place securely.Another thing is the liner at the top of the bottle. The one between the vacuum glass bottle and the opening in the outer shell. Here is where the quality is below my expectations (and I couldn't really do anything to improve it).The liner doesn't fit the opening like a glove. It looked like the diameters mismatched each other. It also looks like when you screw in the stopper it may not provide sufficient insulation. The tip of the stopper doesn't go deep enough into the glass bottle. It feels like it only covers the opening. And this may be the weakest point where you lose the heat.I'm only interested in hot tea/coffee and tested the bottle with hot tap water (really hot, you would not be able to keep your hand in it longer than 2-3 seconds without being burnt).Basically, it may be something around manufacturer's manual saying it can keep heat up to 8 hrs and cold up to 12 hrs.Because after about 10 hrs the water in the bottle was nowhere close to the original temperature. But after 4.5 hrs the temperature seemed to be high enough to call it 'relatively hot'.Again, I didn't test it with cold water (as I'm not really interested in it). But be sure you DON'T put ice into it. The instruction manual is saying it's a big no-no and other reviewers confirm that. One of the reasons might be because the glass is very thin and when you drop an ice cube inside it will easily shatter.I also looked at the 'twist and pour' stopper. Personally, I would not use it. It won't help avoiding mess. And its shape (big gap in the threading) doesn't really assure me the stopper would insulate the inner glass 'mouth' enough to avoid heat loss.I didn't experience any leaks so far but based on the manufacturing quality (see above about the stopper and the liner) I would probably expect them (as other reviewers did). Especially if you happen to keep the bottle on its side for some time. The 2 plastic cups used as a cap are actually nice to have for those who don't want to carry extra cup/glass for another person. The cups' volume is about 7 oz, I guess. In general, I like the item (especially from this seller at a lower price).ADD-ON: After these years of use we finally started noticing some small leakage at the bottom cap and the mouth of the bottle. After opening we found that those styrofoam liners needed replacement. And the reason for leakage was the bottom piece of rubber hose (see a comment) got smashed with time. So, to have the glass bottle sit tightly at the top (neck) we had to replace it. Otherwise, whenever you pour your drink the liquid will get inside the body of the thermos. And eventually will spill out of the bottom cap.

Thermos 3410USP Beverage Bottle 35 OZ. Review 2013
Very nice Thermos Bottle. I use to carry Coffee to work every day. I also microwave my coffee after brewing before pouring into this bottle, so it can easily handle the heat. I Like that it has a glass liner, these are very hard to find these days. Glass holds heat better than steel. I was skeptical about purchasing, after reading about the reviews of breaking glass on this bottle. Those people must really be abusing their products. I carry mine to work in a backpack every day with extra hot microwaved coffee, and have had no problems. Note: you can tighten the cap on the bottle tight, but you do not have to crank it down like you are tightening a nut to a bolt. 32 OZ is plenty enough for 5 -6 cups. I recommend this Beverage Bottle to Anybody / Everybody. Just don't abuse it, and it will last you a long time.

Doesn't retain warmth.
It's not broken and doesn't leak, but it absolutely cannot keep my beverage hot. After one-two hours the temperature goes from boiling hot to barely warm. It's really a shame because I expected it to be better than stainless one which can keep the beverage hot for almost a day.

This fits the bill beautifully. I tested it by taking it with me ...
I had been searching for a glass lined Thermos for ages. My grandmother had one years ago and we took it everywhere with hot tea inside. This fits the bill beautifully. I tested it by taking it with me to the beach and opened it many times and then resealed it. It has 2 cups attached which is a great bonus!! 10 hours later it was still quite hot. It is much larger than I anticipated so I am also going to buy a smaller one for shorter trips. It came well packed and it excellent condition. (in fact I bought 2 in case they stopped making them again and also incase the glass should break if dropped). This summer I'll test it for cold!!!
