Overall Good Product
The Pro Maxi-Cut for Echo Line Trimmers is fairly easy to install using the enclosed instructions that came with the item. The trimmers did a good job of cutting through long grass and small diameter vines and weeds. The nylon cutters seem to stand up well during usage. I am careful when cutting around any wood or metal fence posts and also around any metal or wooden fencing. I also ordered a package of 12 replacement blades to have on hand for any future blade replacement as needed. These blades make my grass/weed trimming go a bit faster than when using the regular cutting line.Believe that this is a good product and I would recommend it.

works well
Replaced a line head. Edging caused the lines to constantly break and be replaced. Tried this echo made product and it seems to accomplish both cutting and edging. So far so good.

Make sure to buy extra blades
Install was easy and it cuts tall grass with ease. Definitely buy extra blades as these don't take damage well.

Soak the Blades & Use Blue Loctite
Soaking the blades for 24 hours in water keeps them from breaking. Using blue Loctite keeps the screws in place. Other reviews said the screws were plastic. As of June 2024 it appears Echo fixed this and my screws were metal and had aircraft nuts. I still used blue Loctite and let it cure for 24hrs.This is not a replacement for a string trimmer. It does very well at thick field weeds. Does okay with woody saplings but a metal blade does better. While it can cut lawn grass, not as good as a string trimmer. I bought this to cut field weeds on a steep slope. I hit the ground several times and hit some rocks and the blades did not break.

Waste of Money - Poor Quality
I had used a similar product from Stihl many years ago and was happy to see that echo offered a similar product. At first it worked great. The problem came when I had to replace the blades. The screws would not hold in the nuts after only one replacement. The blade came off when I was cutting so I lost blades and screws. I then had to buy the screws again. Amazingly they offered them on Amazon for $18. A bit pricey considering the whole thing cost $25. Again I had the exact same problem. This is now two times I'm on a job and couldn't finish because of equipment problems from echo products. I have been happy with this trimmer up until now.I'm going to look into purchasing the stihl blades to see if I can use it on my echo trimmer. This is doubtful so I will likely be abandoning echo and buying a stihl trimmer.

Easy to install
Attached to my weed eater in minutes and started cutting right away. Installation was very easy but tips of blades broke really fast. Can’t see doing larger areas as blades were short.

Product Reviews.
Put the product on a 14 year old ECHO SRM 225 machine. Took 10 minutes to install. The product worked perfect for what I was doing which was weed eating a 1/2 acre overgrown lot. The product mowed it down like butter!
