Got one first to record hypnotic stories (Erickson, McKenna, et al) but also using it to record TV audio advertisement and documentaries for personal use on my phone to study the semantics in daily life.Easy to plug in on a direct audio line, no hassle, MP4 output which I can edit in WavePad sound editor no problem.Lots of space in different folders on the device. Very long battery lifespan.Investment well worth !!

I own an Olympus VN-2100PC voice recorder and this one isn't as good. It's got all the great features and more BUT I've tried it on all the settings and the sound isn't as clear or sharp. It sounds slightly muffled like you're making the recording in a small wooden room - OK for voice but not so good if your want to record music. Also this VN-8600PC isn't as robust as it's predecessor but I could have put up with that, it's the natural sound of the first one I miss. I haven't tried it with a separate microphone yet maybe that will make a difference.

Easy to use, reliable and with good voice pick up in one to one interactions in small spaces. Clear reproduction and no audible background noise/ interference.Plenty of recording space which can be conveniently arranged in 5 folders, quick and simple transfer to P.C. Small and convenient.

Excellent little machine. However I am wondering if there is any soft ware available which would allow for voice recording transferred onto a PC, to be converted to a word document, to save on transcribing recordings?

Easy to use! Great little features! Easy to read! Light and nice looking! A great buy. Very pleased with it. I use this as I've got various probjects on the go and it's great for when you don't want to miss an idea..I just reach for this. Has a nifty feature that allows you to pause it whilst you think of what next to say which isn't revolutionary but the way the feature does it, it's almost instinctive. Like this product a lot! Buy it!

This is such poor build quality it looks and feels like a £ shop buy. The instructions aren't great and the automatic voice recognition didn't work. It also wasn't possible to set the type of recording quality I wanted and the instructions didn't say either.The sound quality was both tinny and muffled. On playback it wasn't possible to fast fwd a recorded item on one file. So if you recorded something quite long you have to sit through the whole lot to get to where you want.Overall as the title says its very expensive for what it is and I would love to know how many pennies it costs to make. I bought it because of the number of positive reviews because the minefield of voice recorders on the market was very confusing. I can't understand how anyone would like this item.

I ordered for a new product but I got a used one.it has lots of scratches!!! I am not satisfied with the purchase

Way more complicated than I ever needed. Sound quality was tinny but clear enough. However my undoing was when I dropped it once and that was it. Everything on it was lost. It fell from the height of a desk so I am sure people with mobile phones will have dropped their phones from a similar height with less damage. This however completely stopped working so be careful if you buy one.

Lo necesito por el trabajo, hago traducciones de inglés a ruso así: veo el texto en ingles, voy dictando en ruso, y otra persona luego lo teclea escuchando mp3. Esta grabadora el muy cómoda, corta bien los ruidos, así que puedo trabajar en un parque o en una cafetería sin ningún problema. Transferencia de datos a Mac es superfacil.

Facile d'utilisation, prenant peu de place, protégé dans une housse molletonnée, le son est satisfaisant (clair sans être de grande qualité) : je peux enregistrer ce sur quoi nous travaillons à la chorale pour pouvoir le transférer sur l'ordinateur avec le câble USB. Préférer l'effacement des fichiers depuis l'ordinateur car cette dernière fonction est gourmande en piles.

Ich habe mir das Gerät vor ca 1 Woche gekauft und kann zusammenfassend 5 Sterne dafür geben.Die meisten Vorzüge haben meine Vorredner erwähnt, am wichtigsten ist natürlich das Argument mit der sehr guten Ton- und Aufnahmequalität.Vielleicht kann ich hier noch einige Missverständnisse, die ich in anderen Bewertungen gelesen habe, aus dem Weg räumen.Die sehr knappe Bedienungsanleitung wird durch eine, wie ich meine, sehr anschauliche uns ausführliche Anleitung ergänzt die sich auf dem Diktiergerät befindet. Also Gerät an PC anschließen, die deutsche pdf-Datei öffnen und dort ist alles aufgeführt.Auch kann man in der Aufnahme pausieren und dann weitermachen (einfach während der Aufnahme auf den Rec-Knopf drücken um die Aufnahme zu pausieren und noch einmal um die Aufnahme fortzusetzten).Sehr gut funktioniert auch die Sprachgesteuerte Aufnahme. In diesem Modus nimmt das Gerät nur auf wenn tatsächlich gesprochen wird, ich nutze dies z.B. in Vorlesungen.Die Index-Funktion für die Aufnahmen ist ebenfalls sehr hilfreich, der Lautsprecher ist in Ordnung und die Bedienung fällt kinderleicht wenn man sich ca. 10 min Zeit für die ausführliche Bedienungsanleitung nimmt und dort alles einmal durchspielt.Der einzige Nachteil, wenn man ihn mal als solchen bezeichnen möchte, ist das wirklich sehr kurz geratene mini-USB Kabel zum PC. Leute die mit Standrechner arbeiten bekommen da wirklich Probleme, dann würde das Gerät wahrscheinlich am Rechner herumbaumeln. Aber da dies nichts mit dem Gerät an sich zu tun hat ziehe ich keinen Stern ab, ich habe mir einfach ein längeres Kabel für 2,80 gekauft.
