Cheap/Easy Power Solution
Easy method for getting “power” readings for Zwift if you are a poor such as myself and can’t justify $500+ for power meter or smart trainer. Have about 15 hours of riding so far with no connection issues to my iPad via Bluetooth.

Easy installation and worked right away on KK Road Machine 2.0!
Carefully installed rubber grommet and magnet using flathead screwdriver, cleaned sensor mounting location, and stuck the sensor as instructed (as close as possible to magnet without rubbing). The Kinetic.fit app found it right away as well as my Garmin 920XT.I jumped on my KK Road Machine and it started reading power, cadence, and speed data. I agree with some others that the cadence is inaccurate compared to my old but still working Garmin GSC 10 cadence sensor. Speed was pretty close. Power reading was a few watts lower on average using 3 and 10 second average readings compared to TrainerRoad's KK Road Machine virtual power curve but that may be due to me not calibrating it via spin down function yet. So far so good but it's only been 1 10 minute test.December (first month) update:Used it 3x/week this month with no issues after calibration. Whoever said the battery drains fast must be doing multiple 5 hour trainer rides all week every week because my battery is at 61% capacity doing 3 1 hour ish trainer rides per week so far for the month.

Surprisingly easy to install & pair with Garmin Edge 520 - instructions and accessories lacking
I have to start off by stating that I have a Kinetic by Kurt Road Machine from 2006. It's freakin ancient. It's not even green, it's bluish grey. The resistance unit is still good and I have all the parts to the trainer, even the skewer. I was all set to replace it with a shiny new green Road Machine that included the InRIDE 3 power sensor, but then a blurb caught my eye for the inRIDE 3 sensor: "Will work with any Kurt Kinetic trainer". I checked and sure enough the roller on my crusty old trainer has the right size hole for the grommet/magnet, and the mounting plate for the resistance unit looked exactly the same. The only problem was that the flywheel had lots of flaking chrome and rust. A little sanding and some primer & silver hammertone paint fixed that right up (FYI - Kurt will NOT sell you a new flywheel, but they will happily sell you a new resistance unit - for almost as much as a whole new trainer). The sensor mounted perfectly and I was able to pair it to my Garmin Edge 520. Interesting enough, the Edge found 3 ANT+ sensor outputs from the InRIDE 3: Power, Speed, and Trainer. I paired the Power and Trainer outputs as I have the Garmin speed and cadence sensors on the bike. The power sensor was able to be calibrated direct from the Edge 520.A few negatives: The grommet that holds the magnet in the trainer roller is crap. It ended up falling through the hole and into the roller and took forever to be fished out, it ended up tearing on the way back out but still usable (otherwise a little duct tape would have replaced the crappy grommet). The instructions are colorful but repeat themselves at the end and do not say how the battery should be oriented in the unit when installing the sensor (positive side UP toward the cap is correct). A little quality reviewing would have been a huge help.Looking forward to adding power monitoring to my trainer workouts!Edit 11/19: The InRIDE 3 transmitted power data to the Garmin Edge 520 flawlessly, and Garmin Connect reflected the power data in my completed ride data. Increased my rating to 5 stars based on the better than expected functionality and integration. If you have a Garmin Edge and plan on using it with your trainer, I believe this is a must have to enhance your training information.

Not easy to set up or calibrate.
I used the Kinetic InRide with the app a few times. The installation is fairly straight forward. I used the cardboard box supplied (and folded in half) or a folded plastic sheet from a package as a guide to position green transmitter box. To calibrate it, you need to spin on the trainer for like 30 minutes to warm up the fluids inside. Then, when you're ready to calibrate, that is the hard part! It's like the app tells you to get to around 35km/hr or 22mph. Once you hit that speed, it'll tell you to let it coast. It is very hard to get to 35kph in a short period of time. I did this several time and it's a hard enough workout that once you finished calibrating the tightness on the fluid trainer, you're not going to be doing any workouts after that. However, once you got the trainer calibrated, subsequent training sessions with the trainer tightened to around the same number of twist, it's fine. This is definitely the most affordable way to upgrade the Kinetic fluid trainer so you can get a visual representation and metrics for your indoor workout during cold wintery and snowy months.

Super easy
It feels so lightweight that I was worried it was fake. I read some reviews that stated some struggled to instal the magnet but I followed the instructions and found it really easy. I did struggle with the battery instructions. The device states in THE SMALLEST SYMBOLS EVER to “press down battery with - up and then flip to + up”. This isn’t explained in the instructions but 🤷🏻♀️. I guess it worked because the device worked perfectly when I started up my zwift app.

Awesome little gadget!
Finally got the InRide for my aging Green Machine. This little gadget changes the way you train. A fair bit of information on the Kinetic app with free workout. Easy to fit, easy to use. I calibrate it once, then leave the tension setting, but deflate the tyre. Next time I use it, just reinflate tyre up to the same pressures used for calibration, and you're good to go! Breathes life into your old trainer. Recommended!
