Works well, very good built quality, sound volume at factory default is just right for kids, all the lights are working properly may be little bit stronger in dark but nothing to worry about. Comes with battery loaded inside so no need to keep handy of batteries around but there is no mention of which size battery needed anywhere on the toy, otherwise its a great product basic to intermediate level learning toy.Update(July 2018):Just 4 months of use now its malfunctioning, every time we turned it on now it simply loops annoying sounds with flashing lights randomly no matter what we try, now its just a useless heavyweight toy. Not expected from fisher price at least it should last a year before giving issues like this. It was an excellent toy with great outer built quality but unfortunately when it comes to electronics internal matters more. 1 star for non functional but still good looking toy.Update (Oct 2015):Changed with new duracell batteries and it started to working again normally not sure those blinking lights and looping sound were the warning signs of low battery? (there is no mention of which type battery needed, its AA) if it so they should have mentioned proper instructions in the manual book which itself missing inside package, instead left us in panic. For the poor instructions i deduct 1 star and 4 stars for greatly built toy, so my first impressions stands true.

My 2 years old girls like this toy very much. It helps in developing observation and Learning skills. The light effect and sound both are good. It’s worth buying.

Fun, interactive and educational! My nephew will love this!

My preschooler really likes this toy. It is one of the only ones that can really keep her attention for a good 20min so I can do other things. I thought it would be kind of limited with the few set words on the shell but I've noticed it's the concepts that keep her entertained. She loves the rhyming game and finding the word by the letter it starts with and other games it has. I've realized the limited words are perfect because it's the concepts that is what makes it challenging and not having too many choices is what keeps it simple for her to focus on the game concept.

It's quiet catchy. He's almost two, so I think developmentally he's still a little to young for this toy. But he still really enjoys it.

This is a wonderful gift for my two year granddaughter. It can begin at any stage child prefers like the words and music on top of the turtle and increase in ability and knowledge as the turtle options advance along with her. Each leg promotes a different learning tool so its not a toy that child will lose interest in too quickly.

Cute and fun with functions for a range of ages. That said, I would not recommend this for kids with hearing or sight challenges — the screen is not bright and lacks good contrast, and the speaker is a bit fuzzy.
