2+ Hour Setup, Disappearing Admin Screen, No Firmware Upgrades
Update: September 5, 2018I was contacted by the seller's customer service staff and we exchanged multiple emails over several days. A customer service member told me "as there are any quality problems sold by the 'Qoosea' brand, you can contact us asap" and they then gave me a full refund. With this good customer service experience in mind I'm raising my review rating from 2 to 3 stars.Original Review: August 29, 2018Despite the beautifully crafted user manual included with the product (unusual for an electronic device made in China), the setup took over 2 frustrating hours, along with being forced to reset the AP/Repeater/Router multiple times. The manual references connecting to the open WiFi to start with, then going to URL 192.168.10.1 or ap.setup for the admin settings page. URL 192.168.10.1 was "unknown" as was "ap.setup". "ap.setup" URL never worked.Eventually I realized you could not setup this device in AP mode (as an Access Point) to begin with, so I switched it to Router mode with the WAN cable disconnected. At that point I was able to login to the setup page and once I had successfully configured all the initial settings (changed password, setup 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi, and set correct time zone) I was finally able to turn off the router, plug in the WAN cable, switch the router to AP mode, and turn it back on. Now at last I have Internet access via the router in AP mode! I was also finally able to connect another device to the LAN cable out port on the router.Another disturbing realization is that there will not be any firmware upgrades forthcoming for this device (which is actually a Winstars Technology router, rebranded to Qoosea, see photo - also sold elsewhere on Amazon as the Wavlink AC1200 in black) as there is no reference to any firmware upgrade URL on the device or in the user manual, nor does Winstars Technology offer any firmware download option on their website for model WS-WN575A3 (the model number clearly posted on a label on the side of the router, along with the serial number, see photo). Electronic devices without needed firmware upgrades are normally short-lived.On the plus side the 5Ghz WiFi channel works well as does the 2.5Ghz channel, although the data transmission speeds are significantly slower than those stated on the sales page. I will update this review in future regarding reliability and whether or not the Wi-Fi signal / WAN connection degrades over time (as happened with the last Winstars Technology router I purchased and then was forced to abandon), which required daily manual reboots to resolve.

OVER HEATS
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. THESE EXTENDERS CANNOT INCREASE YOUR SPEED THAT YOUR IP GIVES YOU. IT CAN ONLY EXPAND THAT GIVEN SPEED TO OTHER AREAS, BUT THIS ITEM REALLY GETS HOT.

The extender mode did not work.
The extender mode did not work. Access point mode did work but only 70MBPS when the router was putting out 180MBPS

Not able to configure both 5g and 4.3g bands!
This âdual bandâ range extender would only allow me to configure one band. As soon as you try to configure the second connection, you lose the first. Iâm not sure whether or not my 5g connection is actually running at 5 or 4.3g.
