All-around great product and instructions with a few caveats
I approached replacing my Ipad 2 screen with dread, but this was not too bad if you carefully watch the demonstration video and look up anything you are uncertain about. There is at least one decline in functionality since I installed this new digitizer: the magnetic auto sleep function does not work -- which is fine with me. It was annoying anyway.I also have a few tips that I strongly recommend anyone take seriously (these are not in the instructions or video, but should be). 1) before you begin to remove it, mask the clear portion of the old digitizer screen with clear duct tape to help prevent shards from falling onto the LCD screen.2) Map out carefully where the power ribbon is. the instructions make the risky area seem much smaller than it is. 3) When you are almost done and are closing the connected digitizer onto the frame, do not let the flex ribbon fold on itself between the LCD and digitizer -- you should stuff as much of the flex ribbon as possible behind the LCD, so that there is nothing to fold on itself -- you have to have the digitizer held up at about a 90 degree angle (lean it on books or something and put a soft cushion under the whole setup) and the LCD unscrewed. if you follow the official directions as given, the bottom left corner of the digitizer will be sprung upward by the flex ribbon. Whatever you do, proceed with patience and caution and continuously check for functionality before sealing the thing back up -- adjusting the flex ribbon can dislodge it from the logic board and you will have to go back and fix that or it wont work.

It works again.
I'm satisfied with this kit came with all that was needed to replace the broken screen, was not missing any parts. I used the iCracked YouTube tutorial and was successfully able to do the replacement myself. My only issue has been the adhesive strips have not been holding very well but was able to put the iPad in a SUPCASE that I had purchased though Amazon a few years ago and that has solved the problem. This case keeps everything nice and tight. This iPad had been out of commission for about a year and a half and I had replaced it with a newer model I just wanted to see if I could make it work again and it does so thanks iCracked.

The tools provided was a great plus in helping putting the screen back in
The iCracked iPad 2 Screen replacement kit was ok. The tools provided was a great plus in helping putting the screen back in, as I had already removed my cracked screen. The biggest problem I had was that the adhesive strips on the back of the glass were very thin across the bottom and not thick enough to adhere securely. Even with putting weight on it for several hours and all surfaces were cleaned accordingly to instructions (The original adhesive was very sticky and was thicker than what was on the iCracked product). In order to get the glass to stick down, I had to add additional double sided tape in the areas that it was not adhering. Overall, it worked for what I needed. Just recommend making the adhesive strips wider on the bottom of the screen and a bit thicker so it adheres for a stronger bond.

A Trusted Brand
I've been fixing iDevices for friends and family for about 5+ years and this is the one trusted brand I know I can rely on. It's not fool proof but with at least a 80% success rate for quality parts. As for other off-brands beside this, they may be cheaper but you'll fall into the 50% fail rate. The cheaper versions have lower quality glass and workmanship. The price might be higher than the others but, its better than doing a return/replacement to "who knows where" and takes months to have a replacement due to faulty parts...Save yourself some headache and just get quality parts.

Better than buying a new ipad
This turned out better than I expected. I cracked my screen while trying to remove it to fix a connection issue. I bought this and took my time with the repair (about 2.5 hours). The only thing that didn't work well was the adhesive. My screen came unglued a few weeks after the fix, but I reattached it with a thin layer of super glue and it's working great.

the screen was well protected in the box which was nice. The tools were not as high quality as ...
I don't normally rate products but wanted to let others know of the experience I had with this icracked screen replacment. The shipping was on time and everything came in the box as listed, the screen was well protected in the box which was nice. The tools were not as high quality as I expected. Mainly the plastic pick tool that you use to pry the glass off of the ipad after you have it started was the most dissapointing. The fine end of it started to bend and became increasingly worse to work with as disassembly went on.Another issue I've ran into is that the home button has stopped responding after 2 days of being installed. I followed the instructions very carefully, taking well over 3 hours to take the ipad apart and reassemble.I feel like I paid a premium price for this product and ended up with poor quality tools and materials in the end.I would suggest others with cracked screens find a reputable service to do the work if they offer some kind of warrenty. The work isn't too hard to do but the hassle of dealing with the quality of tools and materials given here makes me feel another ~50 dollars would be well spent on a warrenty.

Good product and good
Once I got into replacing the screen of an iPad 2 I thought that I was in way over my head. It was a lot more complicated than just replacing a piece of glass on the front.Using the online video made the task doable. It was still daunting to see parts of the iPad spread across the worktable but I was very pleasantly surprised that everything came together and worked when done. This does take a couple of hours and requires patience and precision but all the pieces are provided and everything works. It has been a month now and the iPad is working perfectly.Good product and good documentation
