Logona Herbal Hair Color Cream, Indian Summer 5.1 Ounce

I have below the shoulder length, thin brown hair so I decided to try Teak. I have 100% gray in some areas, and no gray in others. Also I have varying shades of brown (old highlights, dark brown from when I used darker dye, mousey brown which is my natural color - and then of course the gray) I usually use Clairol Natural Instincts semi-permanent (which even this contains chemicals) so I am used to what happens to the gray when it gets dyed a brown color.All I was really looking for was a non toxic way to get that volume and shine and if the grays changed to a light brown I would be happy. I left the cream on for 2 1/2 hours using only maybe 5 minutes of heat. Its a big chunk of time to take out of your day - I wish it didn't take so long. I did not use the pre-shampoo - but rather my own clarifying shampoo. When I went to rinse, my hair did feel like straw but I think that will eventually go away after the 1st shampoo. It did dye my gray, very subtly and slightly orangey (again, this happens when I use any semi permanent), but mostly it did make my hair thicker which is what I wanted. I will know more after tomorrows shampoo. It's a pretty expensive way to achieve this, but I think I will try it a few consecutive times to see what the lasting effects are. Overall, I liked it and did not feel like I was doing anything bad to my hair.

I am so happy with the results. This is the first time I have ever done any kind of color treatment to my hair and I had no idea what to expect. I used to have dark brown hair with red and yellow highlights, but all my "highlights" are gray now. I just wanted to darken the gray a little. This did the job. It now looks as if my highlights are back and the rest of my hair stayed the original dark brown. I took one star away just because (though I can't compare to other treatments) it seemed kind of thick to try to get through to all the strands of hair.

I like this overall, it's safe, non-carcinogenic, natural, & easy to apply & use. There's enough for 2 applications in one bottle--I have hair that's a bit below my shoulders. This was my 1st time using this product, and I had to do a 2nd application a few days later, to really cover my grey (and I only have maybe 20%-25% grey, but it doesn't take color well). Both times I left it on for 2 hours, and applied heat in about 15 minute chunks, about 3 or 4 times during the 2 hour period. I think I'll buy a "Hot Head" cap that I saw on Etsy, so that I can keep heat on my head for longer, rather than using the hot-bonnet-thing that attaches to my blow dryer. The coverage has lasted about 2 months, although I'm starting to see some greys at the roots, so I may have to do an application again soon. I did use the Logona Herbal Hair Color Plus Preparation (plenty left over to use for several more times, although I read that a clarifying shampoo may work just as well). I also used the Logona Herbal Hair Color Conditioner after rinsing, and I use that about once a week--still plenty left in the bottle after 2 months! The color overall is nice, it's nothing mind-blowing, but looks natural, & my hair is definitely feeling softer & a bit shinier lately. I definitely recommend this product to those looking for something other than box dyes, heavy chemical dyes, or messy Henna. I think it's going to be my go-to from now on. I just wish it didn't have to stay on for so long, & hopefully this time I won't have to reapply a few days later for full coverage of greys.

unlike other cream henna's , this does not have any chemicals. i've used it twice. color is great. no red which is what i was wanting. this is very easy to apply. i did leave on for 2 hours as suggested. my teen daughter says color looks natural.

The gel texture is easy to apply but it smells awful and did a very poor job on grey, especially compared with Surya Brazil, a similar henna-based cream. It did not improve the feel or appearance of my hair and I had to do a treatment with Surya (which is also cheaper) immediately after because this product just left my greys looking kind of yellow.

I've been using this product and this color in particular for over 2 years now, having switched from the powdered henna that logona offers. while the creme is less strong - you'll have to dye your hair more often to keep the vibrant red that the powdered henna gives you - it's so much more easy to apply that it makes no difference. I have very long hair, down to my waist, and I'm sure part of the reason that it remains strong and has little damage is because I use henna products such as this hair dye. The color is, in my opinion, a little less dark than it appears on the package, but that's also because any henna product will merge a little with your underlying hair color. I've also noticed that any scalp irritations such as dandruff are "healed" by henna coloring, and my hair has more volume because of it. Your hair may feel dry after you dye it, but that will disappear after the first wash after you color it.Love this product - would never switch to any other conventional hair dye.

I really wanted to love this product but it did not work for me. I left it on my hair for 2 hours and there was no visible change. There was no coverage of any of my gray hair (about 10%) and it unfortunately turned my hair into a frizzy, dry mess. It also smells like burnt toffee, which is only slightly better than the chemical smell you get with other dyes.

I loved that this was so natural and safe on my scalp - but it doesn't do any work covering gray hairs. I had it on for 90+ minutes and the next day - before even washing- the gray was gone. I've had better luck with Naturatint, which was much cheaper, too.

I really wanted to love this stuff. I've been dyeing my hair for years and it's coarse and frizzy as a result. I now have grey at the roots and temples and this stuff did nothing to cover it. I didn't notice any improvement in the condition. I left it on for two hours. Sorry folks, but it's a 'no' from me. I need to either embrace the grey or head back to the chemical stuff.

Works. I have quite resistant hair to colour but this did cover! It's quite subtle colour but worked on my dark blonde hair for a natural looking result. I must say I washed my hair with a silicone free shampoo and did a hair mask with rhassoul clay (made watery and left on hair for 15mins)a day or two before colouring. I applied this colour on dry hair and left on for 2 hours.

My hair is in great condition now and everyone tells me how lovely the colour is.I am very impressed and would highly recommend this product.

A true rip off. I have tried it twice and it did absolutely NOTHING to my hair. Like I had washed them with fresh water. Second time I kept it 2 hours and same result (=no result). Waste of money and time.
