Clean and fully functional
I had to refund mine as I needed an Omni directional motor. Seller was very understanding. Motor was perfect otherwise.

Dial 2202 1/3 hp 115V 2 Speed --Easy to install, Great price
After 12 years, my Evap Motor would only start if I helped it by grabbing the belt and giving it a spin, not the safest way but it was that time of year that I would no longer be needing it. I thought about just replacing the entire Cooler but the price of a new one was out of my budget and the frame on my old one is still in good shape. Replacing the new Dial motor was simple, just be sure to note the HIgh and Low connections of your old motor. Once the new motor was installed, I ran a test on both speeds, so far it is working, but the real test will be in the summer months.

Bad Bearings right out of the box
I replaced the old motor and when I put this one in and turned it on, the bearings were obviously bad. Made a noise like pebbles in a coffee can, and got hot enough to fry an egg near the pulley side. Dangerous. Had to return it. Think I will go with the motor made in Mexico. This was China made. I do not want another Dial motor.Bad Bearings - Had to return - Hope the seller will refund me in full. There is a Youtube video of the noise - Dial swamp cooler motor may 17 2019 I got a lemon.

So Far , Very Good.
I bought this TWO-Speed motor to replace the 1/3 Horse motor that burned up in my evaporative cooler after 18 years of service. It installed easily, and has worked fine for two summer seasons now. The wiring connectors and shaft size were identical to my old unit, so the wires and pulley went right on.Don't know why my old one failed; my fan bearings are good, and well lubricatedEdit: It's Summer 2020: Still going strong.
