This flash has much more abilities that I needed! It works well with my Sony a7II and is well built.The main reason that I ordered this model is the rechargeable battery. The charger works very fast and you can watch the blinking lights how far it is charged. It has a great power savings mode. I also like the usb port in the battery compartment, where I can use the Sony usb cable to recharge the battery without the charger.I am also impressed by the flash exposure Compensation, adjustable for your needs (close up or big rooms).So far I did not seriously use it, but I have a good feeling.It arrived almost a week before it’s delivery date and I can highly recommend this Seller!

I bought this for my Sony a7R3.This is a great flash TTL works great, it has great powerit seems well made, is a good fit for the SonyIt also comes with usb for firmware updated, so your speedlight is always up to date.

When using the AA version of this there were many missed shots. For some reason the flash would not fire. This version has worked flawlessly. The main reason for getting this though, even after owning the AA version is because of the rechargeable battery. This is a significant upgrade over the AA version. The issue with AA batteries is you never know when they are going to die. This rechargeable version has a battery level indicator on the top right of the screen. Maybe the AA version has one when the battery gets low, but even when fully charged I do not see a battery level indicator on my AA version. The charger itself is pretty fast charging. The battery/unit is rated for approximately 500 shots. This batter can go from dead to 100% in a little over 1 hour.I'm giving this unit one star down because it did not come with the flash deffuser or the gels. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be sent in a separate package or all included in the box, but either way those are missing. The unit itself is 5 stars. I'm going to consider buying a second unit.

The flash is working fine Sony A6300 camera. But i dont see the Zoom feature of flash working or dont know how to get it done. If any is aware of it please help me.

I highly recommend this flash...I'm using it on My Sony RX10M4 . I couldn't ask for anything better but do wish the low light focus LED would work on the flash. I'm sure it could with a firmware update from Godox if they'd offer one. This flash is just what I needed & has tremendously helped my photography needs. I was hesitant about buying it but can say it's the best money I've spent on camera gear period! I was also concerned about the battery power & can say it does what it claims. Very satisfied buyer.

This flash is a great model. Unfortunately the one I bought doesnt connect to other Godox flashes and so it has limited functionality. I didnt realize that it didnt work until I was at a photo shoot and the box lights werent triggering from my Godox flash. When I borrowed a friends' Godox flash they worked fine.

I purchased this for indoor shot improvement and adding strategic fill in outdoor portraits. I’m mostly a nature and wildlife photographer. The packaging is outstanding. Looking at the packaging and the product you’d never believe it was hundreds less than Sony’s comparable product.As to how it works? Well, I took a few test shots indoor in low light, and clearly I don’t know enough about flash photography and it makes it clear that despite the illusion that you just pop this on and fire away in all conditions, there is setup that needs to be done first.I’m learning that aspect now. By the way, LOVE THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY!!!There is a learning curve. I’m a natural light photographer and I don’t know squat about flash photography. The thing is, I don’t mind a learning curve when I’ve spent $400 less than SONY’s version.
