Great value and a Great Item of Great Quality!
Great product!Company's delivery service was very fast. Recieved my order before the due date. Great Job!This is my second Wolf Garten Fruit Picker which I enjoy using. Unfortunately,I left it in the elements which caused the fabric to break down. Will take better care of this one. This is great value for my money. It works great.

Fantastic for Mangos!!!
I am about to buy my third fruit picker. Since my mangoes started bearing fruit in2003, I have been using this fruit picker to pick hundreds of pounds of Hayden mango. The mango sap gets on the bag and stiffens it but no problem. For me, the picker lasts only 3 years before the plastic part breaks. I tried picking oranges but unless it is ready to drop, it does not work well. With all this spaceage plastic, there is no excuse not to make it stronger. I still use the original extendable pole purchased in 1994. I find the small rake and hoe very useful and durable.

FANTASTIC FRUIT PICKER!
I purchased this item because I bought one before... BUT... one of my dogs shredded it when he was a puppy. So I needed a new one. I have the old pole, but got a new one as well as the picker head. I think Wolf Garten makes excellent quality products.I have used this fruit picker for years. It's the ONLY TRULY FINE FRUIT PICKERS made!I found I love all the Wolf Garten tools and they are well worth the cost.

The new picker is really great and easy to use but would be nice if the blades were around the whole unit. I use it all the time but need an extension to get to the high fruit.

Decent product.
Product description really should *specify* that the handle is NOT included. But the product is decent and I can see how it will simple to operate once I purchase the over priced handle.I will not recommend to fellow enthusiasts, though. You can buy this same mediocre-quality product locally for just over half the price.

Gentle on fruit, but needs non-proprietary connector for extension pole
I bought a Wolf-Garten basket for use in picking Fuyu persimmons in 2008, along with a conventional steel pronged basket. The Wolf-Garten model is my basket of choice. Unlike a steel pronged basket, which almost invariably punches at least one hole in the fruit, the plastic used for type of basket is gentle on whatever fruit I pick. The material is durable, having survived quite a number of years -- including several winters of outdoor storage. The catching bag can hold up to a dozen persimmons, on the occasions where I am lucky enough to have the fruit detach without also bringing some of the branch along with it. (Fuyu persimmons are tenacious in clinging to the tree when they are ripe but still firm.) I can usually count on bringing down at least 3-4 fruit without having to empty the catching bag.A minor nit is that the catching bag does occasionally detach from the picker. This can be particularly annoying when the bag is fairly loaded with fruit. However, it is very easy to slip the bag back onto the rim of the basket.A major problem, however, lies in the basket's proprietary connector. This connector is only compatible with Wolf-Garten poles. Compared to many other quality extension poles available on the market, the Wolf-Garten poles are quite frankly overpriced and undersized. One can find a multipurpose telescopic extension pole that reaches nearly 2.5 times as far for nearly half the price. Fortunately, this basket's connector is of sufficient length that it can be duct taped to the end of a longer extension pole from another manufacturer. The claim in the description that this basket "can reach up to 5.7 metres off the ground when used with multi-change telescopic handles," is somewhat misleading. The longest Wolf-Garten telescopic handle carried on Amazon extends to only 3 meters, leaving the harvester to supply the remaining 2.7 meters with his/her own height and arms.... and possibly a step ladder. Again, if one is willing to duct tape this basket to a telescopic extension pole that really *does* reach over 6 meters off the ground, there are several good suitable alternatives.Despite the negatives, if I had to replace my current basket or purchase a second one, this would be the one I'd choose. I've picked nearly 300 persimmons this year alone off of a 30+ foot tree using this basket. It has been such a treat to *not* have to discard fruit damaged by a steel-pronged picker!

Best picker I have worked with
Fits readily on long-arm of other commercial garden gear; soft material keeps delicate fruit undamaged; flexible and adjustable head is a great help in targeting difficult to get fruits; I used it for harvesting green Italian figs.
