There are two types of these now available. This one and one that was about the diameter of a quarter, and still just presses in the base, just like this one. The other one has additional holes I think will fill up with junk. It is also extremely stable, that makes it very difficult to slide. These are difficult to slide two, but not nearly as difficult as the other ones. They seem to hold the machine stable and prevent it from shaking and walking around on the table or counter, but are not so sticky that you can’t slide it a bit. I like both, but I think I like this one a little better, it does the same job of stabilizing the unit, at least almost, and it’s not so adhesive you have to pick up a unit if you ever have to move it.

I had lost 1 "foot" for my kitchen aid mixer. I contacted kitchen aid and they sent me to a parts place but were out of stock. Checked amazon and found these. Got all new ones for the price of 1 replacement foot at the other place. Great fit!
