The directions say it would help to have two people doing the installation. I can't argue. The design is very clever and very strong. And likely you already know not to completely tighten one nut and bolt until you have both bolts in a leg assembly or all 8 when you are connecting one leg assembly to a top piece.When putting together a leg assembly, the Allen/hex wrench will go inside and will wedge against the leg while you turn the bolt with the little wrench provided. Both work fine. Once the nut is on tight, the Allen wrench will be wedged very tightly against the leg. First time I ended up tapping with a small hammer to get it out. After that I slipped a big flat head screw driver under where the Allen wrench was pinned to the leg. When the nut was tight I pulled out the screw driver and the Allen wrench was easy to remove.The second person would have helped attaching the legs to the cross piece. It helps to do this on a table so the legs go up. In order to get the holes aligned, I used a large Phillips head screwdriver. As you can see from the picture, having one hand inside holding the screwdriver allowed me to keep the leg upright and use the screwdriver to shift things enough to get the second hole aligned. The shaft of the screwdriver gives just a little bit of leverage. In my photo it is hard to see the Allen wrench because it and the legs are black. It was a little frustrating but doable without a second pair of hands.I'm very please with the legs. Home depo ripped a sheet of good quality plywood for me. The rest of the table required two 1 x 6s and a box of 2&1/4 inch screws.

I have an old barn door that I made into a dining room table with these. They are sturdy and even and I just set the door on top—didn’t attach it in case I want to use it for something else later. Bring your patience—they are frustrating to assemble because the screw holes don’t line up perfectly. 4 of us took our turn fiddling with them for over an hour. In the end it was worth it for the price, look, and sturdiness.

I loves these they are great and really sturdy, I have a butcher block tabletop on them as an office desk they can hold a lot of weight. The only issue was that they were missing some hardware, at least 3 bolts and nuts but I had extra lying around. Overall great product

I was supposed to receive a replacement order that was complete. What I received was another pre-packaged box with the same parts missing as the previous order: a pair of legs for the other sawhorse and 2 bolts to put the legs together. I now have a complete set of legs from the two incomplete orders but am now missing four bolts to put the other set of legs together. To get those 4 missing bolts, I will need another 2 of the pre-packaged boxes... WTF!
