I prefer these shorts for lounging around the house more than cotton shorts because these seem to be a little more durable, don't stain easily, and are very breathable. Can't complain about the quality, feel, or comfort.The sizes run just a little small, like some have stated. It's not so much small in any one area but they're a little shorter than you might prefer if you normally wear large and order large here. So if the length is important then I'd recommend ordering a size up, their are drawstrings in case the waist is a little loose on a larger size. They're also darker than the image shows. I've ordered black, navy, and maroon and the navy and maroon are really dark but I can live with that. If you're looking to match something you already own though there might be an issue with the color but that's it.

These are very well designed quality shorts for the money. I guess I didn't read that they were loose fitting. They do run a little large. They are quite loose. I use them around the house, doing outside chores. They are also quite comfortable to sleep in. If you are debating on size, go smaller. I weigh 250, and the 2x were too large. They are nice shorts though.

Update: upon the second wash, I opened the washer to this color blue thread tangled around everything else and now one of the bottom hems is completely gone. I'm going to have to sew these now :-/ I bought basketball shorts because they're light and comfy and now I'm going to have to work on shorts that have only been worn one and a half times. Bleh.Original review:Because of covid19, I am working from home which means I don't have to be in professional clothes anymore, so was on the hunt for a few pairs of basketball shorts as it warms up into summer. These feel a bit light and cheap but they're perfect to lounge around the house. I bought size small. I'm female, 5'5, about 125lbs and with the waistband folded down, I'm very pleased with them. I'll probably buy a few more pairs.

Absolutely love the fit of these shorts. I'm a big fan of mesh material shorts for working out and lounging. I've bought the Champion Mesh Long Shorts for a long time now and have been by favorite when able to purchase for under $15. These are a great replacement!!!!I'd say these run slightly larger than the Champion Men's Mesh shorts....but not enough to size down.

Weird cut. slips down in the back easily and then you can sense your crack is exposed. Try to pull up higher but then it's too tight in the crotch area. So yeah Just a weird cut.

The bare minimum. I wear them if my others aren't clean but these seem to have a weird cut- they slide down a lot more in the back than other pairs I have. Would not order again. Other Amazon Essentials I've ordered have been better quality I think.

Very comfortable! I got large and i usually wear 34". it's not tight but i can use a draw string. I'm wearing this to lounge around the house and for tennis. It has pockets to hold tennis balls!

I really wanted to like these shorts. However, the combination of weak elastic and slipping strings present a problem. For me, they just will not stay where you put them. Above the waist, below the waist, at the waist... doesn't matter. For me they just will not stay up and any weight in the pocket (car keys, travel wallet) causes the shorts to progress towards your knees. I will admit that I do not have much of a "butt" but I do not have this problem with other shorts.

I ordered a size down hoping they would not be too baggy at the knee. Great for washing a car but if you want to look proportioned in the gym not good. Legs look like a sparrows legs

I really liked the material of this shorts, really breathable and light. The size is somewhat a bit small, like if they are designed for overall thinner people for the size chosen. But other than this, im happy with them
