Brooks Ravenna 7 Running Shoes (2E Width) These men's running shoes really spring you into action thanks to Forefoot Pods that deliver great energy return and a DNA midsole that adapts to your stride for custom cushioning. Mesh Upper The Brooks Ravenna 7 Running Shoes are constructed with a sleeker mesh upper with provides better functionality and a fantastic fit thanks to the updated adjustable saddle which pulls from the heel to wrap the midfoot for a secure fit. The reliable mesh delivers maximum comfort and breathability, ensuring the feet are kept feeling cool and dry throughout a long run. For extra support on the upper, the synthetic overlays are designed to deliver a secure and snug fit. DNA Midsole Fitted with Brooks DNA in the midsole which is an innovative and uniquely adaptive cushioning system. By adapting to your specific weight, pace, gait and running surface, DNA offers customised cushioning and adds a spring to your step. Traditional cushioning takes a one-size-fits-all approach, but we know that each runner is different. Brooks DNA was developed to continuously tailor the level of cushioning to your specific needs - even as they change during the run. Additionally, the midsole is also equipped with BioMoGo DNA which is DNA technology blended with the BioMoGo midsole to provide adaptive cushioning throughout the midsole vs. just in the heel and forefoot. BioMoGo DNA midsole includes an organic, non-toxic additive that biodegrades the midsole 50 times faster than traditional EVA when it comes into contact with anaerobic landfill microbes (otherwise known as active, enclosed landfills). Equipped with the Books Running Progressive Diagonal Rollbar which is a tri-density midsole with an internal post that allows for pronation control and delivers a smooth transition from the midstance to propulsion phase. Through multiple levels of material hardness, the Brooks Running Progressive Diagonal Rollbar adjusts the foot to a natural motion from h

Big Fan of Brooks and Ravenna
I've been wearing Brooks shoes for years and never looked back. They are by far the most comfortable running shoe on the market. The Ravenna is the model that fits my running/walking style. I tend to pronate so I need a stability shoe and the Brooks Ravenna does the trick and straightens me out. It also offers a lot of cushion as I am a bigger guy at 215 lbs. My arch is very low and the Ravenna provides good support. My advice to any shoe buyer is to go to a reputable running store and get fitted by an expert. Stores like RoadRunner and Fit2Run will evaluate you and get you in the right shoe. Don't expect to get the same service at Dick's or Foot Locker. Once you know the make/model/size of the shoe that is right for you, then you can buy from your online retailer of choice.

Perfect fit, great support
Softer cushion than other Brooks. Very supportive, breathe well. Heel stays put. Ran a 10K 2 weeks after purchase. Perfect fit, great support, no blisters, no foot pain. I pronate badly and shoe is stable. My ankle is narrow, arches moderately high. Very happy.

Excellent shoes, I keep returning to these shoes.
I'm not an avid runner but usually get 20 miles a week or more. Also do a few hours of crossfit type stuff outside. After trying multiple different brands and styles of shoe, this is the one I have come back to. Certainly it will depend on your feet and your particular posture, but these shoes have been important in almost completely resolving plantar faschitis, IT band/knee issues and general soreness. These are easily the most comfortable footwear i have ever had. Also, I find that i need .5 size larger than usual. At first it seemed a little long but after break in feels completely natural.

Narrower than similar type shoes
The Ravenna runs a bit narrower than say the Saucony Guide ( a similar pronation control shoe.) In length it is a teeny bit longer. I sized up from a 9.5 because of my long runs during which my feet seem to need a bit more space in the forefoot. I'm positive the width won't be a problem though. As soon as I have them broken in they'll adapt to my feet.

Might be the best shoes I've ever run in!
I have been a Brooks fan for almost 10 years. From the first Ravenna 4's that I bought, I have been a dedicated buyer. I have bought a few other brands, but never had the same experience as with the Ravenna's. This model is light weight, supportive and extremely comfortable. I have a tendency to pronate slightly and these counter that tendency well. In fact, I am still running on the last set of Ravenna 7s that I bought, but I don't want to get caught empty handed. I am a casual runner - 3-5 miles, 2-3 times per week. I expect these will last me over 6 months easy, based on my prior experience. Good luck!

Great shoe, great value!
It's all personal, but for me, Brooks makes the most comfortable shoe on the market. I made my last pair (the "Beast" model) last almost 20 years. I bought these on the recommendation of my brother, and tried them on at a local retailer to ensure size and fit. I usually replace the insole with a more impact resistant one, but for now I'm going to stay with the factory insole. I love them, and love Brooks!

Great shoe as expected from Brooks
3rd set of Ravenna's and I continue to be satisfied. I came over from Asics Kayano's and this is a lighter shoe that is just as stable. I over pronate pretty bad and this shoe has kept me comfortable for many miles.

I came across this pair and was told by my running friends how great Brooks shoes were for runners
I overpronate when my feet strike the ground. As a result, I needed some extra cushion and support, and my old Nike Frees did not give me enough resistance. I started to develop feet pain, which led me to search via RunnersWorld. I came across this pair and was told by my running friends how great Brooks shoes were for runners. I'm so glad I listened to them, as these shoes have made a huge difference! In fact, I didn't even need to break them in, going for a 5 mile run directly out of the box with no issues whatsoever. I'm about a month into using them and if anything, they've become even more comfortable!
