The lights do exactly as I hoped they would with additional light pattern options that I didn't expect but was happy to see. I haven't installed them yet but when I figure out exactly where and how to run the wires I will be happy to complete the install. The only negative I have is the power wires are definitely shorter than I expected, so I have to get additional wires to connect everything. Looking forward to completing everything.

I was actually looking for something to light up the emblem on the front of my vehicle but this was the best alternative. I like the Knight Rider light going back and forth which this product does part in different colors. However, there are no instructions there is no equipment to mount this product so you will need to find a way to do that yourself.

This did not come with a wiring diagram so I’ll save you some time looking for one.Connections are black-negative groundRed-positive + preferably switched by the ignitionConnect the vehicle brake light circuit to the yellowThe greens connect to your left and right turn signals.The module will revert back to the previous light color/setting upon power being restoredThe light bar will always go to red each time the brake is applied when using the yellow wireThe light bar will flash left or right if the green wires are connected to your turn signalsNOTE; The greens and yellow do not need to be connected in order for the light bar to operate.I’m sure you will figure out the remote on your own

For the price this is a fun little unit. I put it in the grill of my race car just for grins. The remote is chinsy, and the control box seems kind of cheap, too. The amount of wires going from the box to the bar (like.. 15 or so) means extending it to longer than provided would be quite a task. However the bar is bright and there's a ton of different patterns and colors to play with. The included ability to make it function like a light bar with the extra wires (2 greens, etc) where it'll do brakes and turn signals is neat, although I didn't use that portion of it. I probably wouldn't trust it in the elements, especially winter driven vehicles. Build quality is fairly good for the LED bar, too, that doesn't feel too chinsy. Overall though it's a fun, cheap lighting product. Knight Rider cars DO apply.

This light is awesome. Bought it for the “knight rider” look and it does just that in my black truck. BUT, this light turns on by itself randomly, and will switch colors randomly. I think I’m cool with a red light when it’s changed to green or purple and I’ll notice it and the reflection of the car in front of me. Not so cool after all, but when it works it is.

Received package about a week time, very pleased.Wired up, glued, set, looks amazing!has many flash patterns, solid brightness with chasing, strolling colors, it does it all!Had the control box give out on the 2nd day, but Astra is giving me a complete replacement!!-Astra Depot has good customer service~!!! TOOK AN ENTIRE MONTH TO COME UNLIKE FIRST PACKAGE THAT SUCKEDCurrently have it Weatherstrip glued my XL diamondback bicycle, Very fun to ride with and gets all the attention in my community,I would like to throw in my worthless 2 cents,A) Lovely if it had 3 buttons on control box that allowed, Color, Pattern, and Rate. along with the remote, WITHOUT REMOTE LIGHT IS USELESS.B) If it didn't have a control box at all and just had 12volt leads along with a remote, that would be sweetjust dreaming...I uploaded a video of some of the flash patterns and colors it has.The blue lights are just blue PVC leds.

The media could not be loaded.  I like this. But I wish it didn't randomly come on. I think it is activated by outside signal. Besides that the remote works great. You just have to play with it and learn the function of each button. It's sure to turn heads toward your car.

Bought this to put the Knight Rider look on a 2001 T/A (without Ram Air)...took a short while to see how I would be able to mount the light, but after some careful thought & planning, and two small drilled holes to create some mounting brackets I have a front light that KITT would be proud of. (may create a YouTube video to show how to do this in future).One problem I've had is that the light seems to turn on by itself occasionally, particularly during the over night times. Originally I thought this was because I had not finalized the wiring connections yet, but since I've hard wired it, it has happened once in a while. The light will come on immediately upon connection with the 12v power (without you turning it on) so perhaps this is part of the problem.I created a micro-fused connection on the hot wire connected to the remote hot line in the engine compartment, and the neutral to a local ground. The light bar is semi-flexible, and covered with a thick clear plastic sheathing. The light strip itself is a little WHITE and stands out, so I covered it with some black door screen material so it's not as noticeable during the day time.For the EXCELLENT price and the basic light options for a KITT scanner on a modern vehicle, you really can't go wrong. I would suggest disconnecting your battery from your car while you hook this up...on and off circuits can play havoc with your car's computer and check engine lights. My traction control/ABS lights came on for a day or two and had me panicked that I had messed up my ABS sensors, but after a quick drive, they all went off. Whew!If I had one major complaint (or improvement to sugges) it would be the lack of a LED bar indicator on the remote control itself. If you wish to switch between scanner settings/colours while driving, you MUST memorize what setting you last had ON...as there is no indication of what your current setting is beyond getting out of your car and checking it manually. OR parking directly in front of a glass window!Given that SOME of the settings are, shall we say "first responder" inspired and would attract the WRONG type of attention should the wrong person see you with it on. Although I must admit that it was handy in getting a habitual THIRD LANE driver at a slow speed, out of my way once :-)Keep in mind that installation of this light is not against the law...using it while driving is another thing entirely depending upon your local laws so you'll want to ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings and marked or unmarked cars on the road around you if you're using it.The brightness during the day is good, but not great...but let's be honest, you're not buying this for the daytime effect! All in all a great, inexpensive add on for your car to give you that Knight Rider look and feel. Particularly if you have a black T/A. Kit comes with the basic module, wiring harness, and remote, NO INSTRUCTIONS at all. Go to YouTube and type in "installation of 5050 light bar". Even those are few and far between. None for a Fifth Gen (non-Ram Air) to be sure. Installation is very simple for those with just a bit of car wiring knowledge. I purchased some heat-shrink wire connectors from Amazon.ca for a more professional install. Will get on that T/A video once I get the chance.

Does not bend, better off going into the grill if at all. Is the right dimensions to fit the mail slot on the car but definitely would not recommend.Tested the unit before installing and outer most LEDs did not light. Didn't mind it since it was in the corners but then went to curve it to the same shape as the plastic insert and at not even 2 degrees of bend it snapped.

The media could not be loaded.  It worked ok for a while (maybe 3 weeks) but now the colours are random and messed up. As you can see from the video, no solid colours anymore, just random colours everywhere. Very disappointing.Also, check local driving laws- Ontario doesn’t allow flashing LED lights on the front of your car in Brian colours (red, blue, yellow, orange)

No instructions to start with. The light may have worked at one point. But not on delivery. Poorly packaged and obviously got very beat up. Can't give a good rating. Will be returning.
