This product works amazingly, worth every penny. The software is very easy to use and has lots of chips available. The logic chip tester/identifier is a nice touch too.If you find that an eeprom is not programming as expected, try another model of the same eeprom from a different manufacturer, namely CSI for at28cXX series eeproms.The build quality is great, I'm pretty sure its a genuine product - though if it isn't it doesn't matter to me as its still built well and works fine.I don't know what other reviewers are talking about regarding the programmer software having viruses, they must have downloaded it from the wrong place or have a very trigger happy antivirus! when scanning the software and its installer on virustotal it returns 2/52 which is perfectly normal for installers - not to mention that the two virus engines that think its a virus are not exactly reputable.

The TLS866 II Plus programmer is quite simply an excellent and capable programmer for the price, it didn't come with software, but there was a link to download it, I had heard complaints about the software, but my experience was positive, although the small file took a while to download, when it did, it is easy to use and does what it's supposed to do, I am more than happy with my purchase :-)

I needed to check the contents of an EPROM on a printed circuit board as well as checking some old EPROMs I had.This unit did both very well and will also programme some PIC's I have as well.When it was first connected to my PC it upgraded its own firmware.The latest version on the Windows 10 software was easily available from the manufacturers website.There seems to be plenty of support with software and firmware as well as online documentation.

As with most of these, they seem to be clones from the MiniPro you may have seen being used by repair gods like Adrian from Adrian's Digital Basement.I needed to flash some Amiga ROMS and, with a separate adaptor, did so with ease.A few things worth mentioning that probably apply to all of these clones:- No instructions or software in the box (although it implies there's a CD). You'll need to download this from a dodgy looking Chinese site. It was fine though.- you can test logic ICs (basically chips with 74XXXX). This is incredibly handy and the button is in the top-right of the software :)- although you get a decent selection of assorted ROMs to programme, some old ones (like for the Amiga) require an adapter to sit in-between the ROM and this device. And, you may have to work out which of the listed ROMs will work with yours if it isn't an option to choose from.- you can't just wipe all ROMs from this. Older ones generally require you to wipe them first using a special UV device for a few minutes. Amazon sell one for around £16. Terrible quality, arguably dangerous but does work.>>> UPDATE <<<Whilst I occasionally had a few false negatives to start with, reseating the IC / ROM in the ZIF socket usually sorted that out. It's recently started getting pretty bad to the point where I don't trust it at all so I've had to replace the socket on it. I noticed that the new 3M ZIF's internal metal parts are much better aligned than the original one so unsure whether it was really a 3M or just a dodgy part to begin with.Either way it meant dismantling, removing and fitting a new part. If you have the gear, it's easy enough but just be aware that this could be the case if you're having a similar problem.

Setup of software and drivers was fairly straightforward once you use the link to the manufacturer website on the box. One troubling issue was the mandatory request to flash the unit before you could use it. A quick search on the web suggested that this was to eliminate the possibility of the unit being a fake. Reluctantly I went ahead and flashed the unit. All went well. Unit flashed successfully with the latest firmware and is now successfully reading and writing my 24LC64 eeproms. Haven’t tried the SPI interface yet but good to have it on the Plus model.

Despite the current lock down this was ordered friday pm and arrived the following monday am. It is a very compact device, very easy to get the software, either on line or from the included CD. It works very well, I got it to erase and the programme a 16K eprom in < 2 seconds. It can also verify that logic chips are in working order. For the price, its pretty remarkable really. I would highly recommend.

I was quite excited to use a new EPROM Programmer, and was a little reticent with it being Chinese. You ABSOLUTELY should NOT buy this or the other similar looker programmers as I made several attempts to download the software from several places, and every time my Anti-Virus products lit up the screen and screamed at me to stop. DO NOT BUY THIS.

product works as expected. Software and support not translated to english very well, but come on your an engineer, you will figure it out.

The media could not be loaded. I like the quality and small size of this programmer. Also it's usefulness. Unfortunately the installation and download of drivers where confusing. Some links seem to not work and some in Chinese. It can be solved with Google translate but still very user unfriendly. Maybe in future drivers can be built into device on small flash memory on PCB? That would be great. Otherwise when getting used to this device and when you feel comfortable with it. It is very good. I recommend.

Have not written to device, but I have read files and checked for blank condition. I anticipate no problems...the software appears to be very well designed, looking forward to writing ROM image as soon as project reaches that point.

Eccellente prodotto. Svolge il suo lavoro in maniera impeccabile. Il sistema per serrare gli integrati (zero insertion force) risulta di alta qualità: grazie ad esso, non si corre il rischio di rovinare/piegare i pin dei chip.Il software è stra-completo e molto intuitivo.Ne sono rimasto molto soddisfatto!
